"Now what's that dumb woman's done?" Raman gritted. The rest of the meeting has led by Mihir because the M.D. was in no mood to listen to anything but strain on his personal life, which is in trouble. A relief encased him when the board meeting was over; he could lock him up in his cabin with his hutch dog sitting across the table, still engrossed in biz. "Mihir! Could you please just fuck it up!" He could no more handle it. He was already vexed, pissed off, and now, troubled. "Bhai! You're still thinking about Mani? God, just leave it bhai! It's over!" He tried to ease but Raman wagged his forefinger at him. "Mani is never a thing I'd break my brain on Mihir. It was always, Ishita!" He stressed.
Damn, it was always her. Even in the past, when this man who appeared better than him, best for Ishita, all his thoughts were stuck to one point; Ishita, his wife! Whom she would choose between them? Whom she is comfortable with? Could he be the best for her? Could she fall in love with him even when Abhamnyu is around? All that has spotlighted on her! He used to mold himself for her, absorbing her preferences from her words; doing everything in his power to impress her, facing nth failure and secret admiration! There was no choice for him, but her; he loved her way too much to lose her. He is thankful to this man, because he was the one strengthened their relationship; after seven years, he reconciled with Ishita, coincidently because of the same man!
"First thing, she's angry on me." Raman groaned, earning a light chuckle from Mihir. Without letting him know about his latest business that has been keeping him away from the actual one, he could not have been spending these much time with Ishita. "...and you know I'm angrier than her, on her!" Mihir nodded for the same; his face turning serious when Raman leaned back on the chair wearily. "You know Mihir, when I went to meet her, I was on the verge of strangling her!" He fisted. "I was...I was losing it once again, but..." He trailed exasperated. This is not going to be easy. He needed answers but scared to question. If he would act the way he wants, how she would react. "What if she leaves me again...or does something rubbish!" He mumbled aloud.
"Never bhai. You both are meant to be together. Stop being negative and hurting yourself." Mihir was there to pacify, but that was not helping him. He hated the fact that she has not walked towards him when he was in trouble; rather preferring the pest. Her walking inside a room, along with Abhimanyu, right in front of his eyes, was the last thing he wanted to behold. It was whipping his heart, he do badly wanted to know what they both talked, did, or whatever it could be that was confined from him, should be conceded or else, he would explode any moment. She would not even know why he broke down! "You should talk to bhabi. You shouldn't pretend to be unaffected. You can't do this for long bhai! Impulsiveness is sadly your nature!" Mihir squeezed his hand. He was right but a confrontation would worsen their relationship; would that be a better option, he doubted.
"How dare she!" Shagun shrieked; her veins paler, blood rushing, eyes rolling, making her a fremd creature! "Dirty business my foot!" She stomped her foot that banged on the leg of her cot, making her yelp. "Ouch! Ouch! Shit!" She cursed sitting on the bed gruesomely. "What the hell was Raman doing there? Even after these much drama, he's least bothered. He just doesn't care what Ishita was doing with Mani in the bedroom. If it were me, 'Oh Shagun is a bitch!' But Isheeta! No...! No one bloody cares!" Was not she right? She still could not figure out the difference between her and Ishita. Her presence never affected Raman; never dragged him towards her; never did he feel like closing the spaces between them or come after her like a puppy, which was what he was doing with Ishita. An adamant, crazy puppy to be clear! "She's a witch! She controls him!" She grated. True it was; but the fact is, he loved to be under her spell!
"Shagun mamma's gone mad!" Pihu closed her mouth to kill her laughter, peaking inside the bedroom where the woman of their amusement was talking to herself. "She's a headache Peehoo!" Aditya picked her up; headed for their mother's and threw them in the couch. Pihu rolled over, and hopped to the kitchen counter; there mother has not gone for clinic. "Wow!!!!" She smelled the yummy South Indian cuisines only to feel two pretty hands snaking around her stomach, taking her in her arms like a little ball. "Ishimaa...I want to eat it!" Pihu grizzled rubbing her nose on Ishita's neck. "Haan-haan, not now!" She tickled her, flinging her swiftly, to hug her closer as she cuddled up faking snores. "She's expert in snoring!" Aditya winked making Pihu giggle, still seeking the warmth of her mother's bosom.
