I woke up the next morning in my bed, 'What who what how, I am in my bed…was last night's dream a dream or did it really happen?'  There were no signs of Luke. 'Maybe he had gone home.’  I got into the shower still thinking about the dream. It made me blush. I then got dressed in a white knee length dress and went to the kitchen to make a fruit salad. As I was slicing the apples, I looked outside the lounge window, the Cadillac was still there. 'What! Is he still here?' Next thing I knew,  I let out a sharp scream. I had accidentally cut my finger with the knife while staring at the Cadillac. I heard a loud thud followed by a groan coming from the guest room and there emerged Luke in just his boxers while rubbing his forehead.

"What the hell was that?!"  he asked while scrunching his face.

"Oh nothing I just accidentally cut my finger." I explained.

His eyes widened switching from being groggy to being alert and he rushed towards me.

"Which finger?" he asked.

"The one that is bleeding?" I cynically answered.

He dragged me to the kitchen sink and ran my index finger under the cool water. He frantically started searching the drawers for something.

"What are you looking for?"

"A first aid kit, we need to fix you up before it gets septic and-"

"Luke, calm down, it is just a cut and it is in the 2nd drawer from the left."

He clumsily tore up the band aid and put it around my finger. He examined his handiwork and seemed to be proud of his masterpiece.

Suddenly , he took my finger and kissed it. "There, now it will get better in no time."

I looked at him, more to his forehead which by now is developing quite a big bump. I put his head in between both my hands and kissed that spot on his forehead. He immediately turned as red as a tomato.

"What was that for?" he questioned.

"Now your forehead will get better in no time." I laughed as I walked towards the freezer, took out a bag of frozen peas and threw it at him. "Press it on your forehead."

He still looked puzzled. 'Is he concussed or something or just plain dense?'

"Was that a laugh? You laughed. You never laugh," he said.

"What are you going on about? I laugh when something is funny and amusing. It is not easy to find thing that  is funny or amusing or both."

"You should laugh more. It is such a sweet laugh, just like you."

I started blushing, "What was that loud bang just now?" I asked, changing the subject.

"Oh, I literally woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I forgot that I was not in my own bed and bumped my head on the  side table."

"Speaking of which, why didn’t you just go home?" 'Obviously he was the one who lifted me and laid me in bed but was the rest a dream or did It actually happen? He wouldn’t steal a kiss from an unconscious person would he?'

"I didn't want to leave you alone."

" I would have been fine, I am used to it."

"Yeah I know, but I don’t want to. I want you to never be alone."

"What do you mean?"

"Uh never mind. Do you have a spare shirt or something, I need a change."

"Yeah and go shower, there should be towels and everything you need in the guest bathroom. I'll call someone and see if they have extra clothes."
