'I'll wait for you Pasha Anderson. No matter how long and when that time comes, I am not going to be an idiot anymore.'

His thoughts were interrupted by someone's limbs hugging him from the back.

"I knew it was you! I haven’t seen you for sooo long baby!" the shrill voice of Ashley filled his ears.

"What are you doing Ashley! Get off me!" Luke warned her.

"That wasn’t what you said to me last time we were together."

"Seriously Ashley? That was ages ago. It meant nothing." Luke said as he pried her hands off him, while looking out for Pasha. He didn’t want whatever little chance he had to get back with her to be jeopardised by someone of the likes of Ashley.

"FINE!" yelled Ashley, noticing Luke's eyes were on the horizon scanning for something or someone. Ashley spotted Pasha surfing. She smirked and leaned closer to Luke's ear, "Looks like you've got competition." She pointed towards Pasha's direction and left.

She was surfing with some guy. It was obvious she was enjoying herself. It was even more obvious that the guy was enjoying himself more. Luke started to get furious but he couldn’t move. Not like he could do anything about it. He cannot swim to her, not in these waves at least. He just kept his gaze on them with clenched fists.

Pasha finally swam to shore, catching her breath. She walked towards Luke while dragging her board. She positioned her board next to Luke and laid on it.

"Sorry for making you wait Luke, but that was some good surfing. I forgot how fun and draining and tiring it was to surf. Why do we keep going to cold places.?" She said with her eyes closed waiting for a reply.

There was none.

"Luke, are you asleep?" she waited for a reply again.

Nothing.

She turned her head to the left to face him. He wasn’t asleep.  "Earth to Luke, Earth to Luke." She said as she reached for his arm and shook him. Only then he seemed to come back to earth.

"What were you thinking of?" she asked him.

"Uhh-nothing." His face turned sour again. The guy who was surfing with Pasha was making his way towards them. His fist clenched again. "Your FRIEND is here to see you,' he said scornfully as he turned his head facing the sky again and put his shades on.

The guy was standing next to Pasha who was already sitting up on her board now.

"Hey, you are really good on the waves," complimented the guy.

'Oh god, come up with a better pick up line please.' Luke sneered in his head.

"Eh, oh thanks. You're awesome too." Pasha replied.

'Seriously Pasha, you can't possibly be sucked in by this.' Luke thought.

"Hi, my name is Corey. You interested in joining our team?", the guy said.

"Lawndale has team?" Pasha chuckled.

'Good job Pasha. Tell him off.'  Luke smirked.

"Yes and no. I know Lawndale has a team but they aren't very good. I'm talking about a different team. We basically go from place to place and just surf. It's like an island hopping surfing group."

"That sounds epic but not now. I haven’t surfed for so long so am a bit rusty." Pasha replied.

"What? That was rusty? How great are you?" Corey asked in amazement.
