~Luke's POV~
I knocked on Pasha's door. There was no answer. I slowly opened the door to find her sleeping. I went closer to her. I could just make the dried tears that was evident on her cheeks. I watched her sleep for a bit. Her shallow breathing was all that could be heard. I saw the ring on her finger. It was a beautiful ring. Reid had good taste. I never liked the guy. Not that he was bad because he wasn’t. It was just due to jealousy. I always knew that he liked Pasha but who could blame him. She is just so perfect. If only I was more level headed that night, none of this would have happened. Sometimes, I wish Reid was still alive. I can't bear seeing Pasha being this sad all the time. I looked at her again, I looked at the ring again. 'How can I compete with a perfect person that was Reid? Even now that he is gone, how can I compete?' I sighed and walked out and started making dinner.
I heard rustling coming from Pasha's bedroom and sure enough she came out clutching on to a pillow. Her eyes were puffy. She was squinting to see who I was.
"Why are you in the kitchen? Where's Liam?" she asked.
"I'm making you dinner and Liam is on his way to Bali with some friends. He has put me in charge in taking care of you during his absence." I was waiting for her to protest, but she never did. She has lost all emotions.
"Pasha, go change."
"Why?"
"We are going out."
"Why? I thought you were making dinner?"
"Yeh, I just need to put this in the oven and that's pretty much it but I need new clothes, so you are coming with me."
"I don’t want to."
"It is not up to you. Either you get changed yourself or I'll do it for you. Your choice."
She reluctantly nodded and went to her room to change.
I waited for her to come out only to find her sleeping again. Sighs. Tomorrow then.
An hour has passed when the oven's timer went off. I had plated everything and brought it to her room.
She was awake. She was just staring into space.
"Hey," I said softly.
She just looked at me without saying a word.
"You ready to eat?"
She shook her head.
"Come on Pasha. You have to eat. Please? I know that you are hungry. I can hear the volcano erupting in your stomach," I joked.
She briefly smiled and it melted my heart. She was letting up. I sat next to her and started feeding her the roast beef and potatoes. I was waiting for her to swallow before wanting to put in another forkful of food.
"Thank you Luke," she whispered.
"It's okay Pasha. You know I would do anything for you."
"I'm sorry for falling asleep," she apologised as she looked at me from the waist up. "We need to get you some new clothes, that shirt is ridiculously tight on you." She cracked a bigger smile.
I smiled back and continued feeding her.
"Have you eaten?" she asked meekly.
"I'm alright. I will after you're done."
"Don’t be silly Luke. I can feed myself. Go get yourself a plate. Eat with me. Please?"
That was the most she has spoken since I got here. I came back with a plate of food for myself. I didn’t know where to sit, so I stood there awkwardly. She motioned for me to sit next to her on the bed.
