THUD THUD THUD THUD.

Luke was surprised to see her door slightly ajar. Was he saw next was just outrageous. An unconscious Pasha was tied to a chair and was being beaten on her head with a phone book by a tall blonde. The blonde was so focused that he didn’t notice Luke creeping behind him and hitting him square on the head with a vase from Pasha's vanity. The tall blonde yelped before passing out. Luke rushed to Pasha to untie her and used the rope to tie the blonde guy instead. He called the cops and told them to come immediately.

He lifted Pasha and laid her on the bed. He checked her pulse and was relieved. The blonde guy was about to come to when Luke bashed his head again, now with the phone book that was used to hit Pasha.

The cops came and arrested the blonde guy. Luke was asked a few questions and Pasha was attended to paramedics.

Apparently, the guy came in with ease because the front door wasn't locked. Luke felt a socking feeling in his gut. It was his fault. He didn’t lock the door. His eyes started welling up.

'Get your shit together Goldstein. She could have died because of you STUPID!'

The paramedics explained that Pasha would be alright but she was just out because she was chloroformed. They  all left after about 40 minutes.

He made sure the door was locked this time and he went to check on Pasha. She was really out. 'When is she going to come to?' wondered Luke as he sat on the chair that was in the middle of the room and slept sitting up. 'I am never leaving her side. The world is too dangerous.'

The following morning, Pasha woke up feeling hazy and confused. She wanted to speak but she had this terrible headache. She opened her eyes, after her eyes adjusted to the light, she saw Luke at the end of the bed, sleeping on the chair. She started throwing her stuffed toys and pillows at him to wake him up.

"Stop throwing things at me!" Luke said grumpily at first but instantaneously changing her tone once he realised that it was Pasha's doing. "Morning, how are you feeling?"

She motioned that she wanted something to drink.

Luke ran to the kitchen to get her a glass of water which she finished in one go.

"Better?" asked Luke.

She nodded, obviously still confused.

"What happened to me?" she asked.

"Some guy came in and attacked you. You don’t remember?"

It took a good few minutes before Pasha could recall what happened the night before.

"It was the creep from the beach. He was the one who did this to me. I remember opening my eyes, I saw him and he had this cloth over my face. I don’t know what else happened after that. OH god." She said. "What did he do to me?" Did he? Did he…?" Pasha thought of the worst.

"No no he didn’t. He was just bashing you on the head with a phone book."

"What? Why?" asked Pasha confused.

"Don't ask me, it was bizarre to me too. But you have to go to the police station to testify though."

"Mmm. K. I need to shower. I feel dirty." She motioned for Luke to leave so she could shower.

"I'll drive you k. Mmm, sorry for causing this." Luke apologised as he walked out.

They took Pasha's 911 to the station where Pasha told them what happened at the beach and that was probably why the guy came after her. They were on their drive back to the house now.
