Chapter sixteen I want you 3eb

"So where’s Luke?" he said.

I was puzzled. "I don’t know?"

"What do you mean you don’t know? Didn’t you come with him?"

"No, I am with Reid. Why would I be with Luke?"

"He went to Switzerland to find you after the Japan thing, to apologise. When he didn’t come back, I assumed he was just too happy and had forgotten to tell me," Liam explained. "So if you are not with him, where the hell is he?"

'So, it was him that I saw. I wasn’t delusional.'

At that moment, Reid came back and introduced himself to Liam.

"Hi, I am Reid Kauffmann." He extended his hand to shake.

"Hi Reid, I am Liam. So you are the mystery man. You are the one responsible for making her voice go all happy lovey."

"Stop talking Liam." I butted in. "Ignore him Reid, he isn’t that right in the head. Where's that shovel Liam?" I asked glaring at him.

Liam just shrugged and chose to ignore that last bit of the sentence. "Oh, I parked at the short term parking, so we gotta rush."

"Nice save Liam," I said sarcastically.

As we got in the Range Rover, Reid asked me,

"What shovel?"

"What shovel?" I asked him back.

"You mentioned to Liam regarding the whereabouts of a shovel?"

"Oh that. Long story. I'll give you the abridged version sometime."

The whole ride was spent talking over each other as Liam kept making up stories to embarrass me in front of Reid and me denying everything Liam is saying. We got home and went straight to bed. I called my mother the next morning and it was decided that we are all having dinner this Saturday at a restaurant in town.

Saturday finally arrived. Reid just got back from Germany yesterday and was still catching up on sleep. I had already gotten dressed. I was wearing a multi-printed Christopher Kane dress and just plain nude Jimmy Choo's. I sat at the kitchen reading. I didn’t want to wake up Reid, not until the very last minute. He has been working hard because there's another take over by Kauffmann Holdings. I heard an alarm go off. After a few rings, it went silent. Reid emerged from the bedroom door, came towards me and gave me a peck. As he was stretching, me admiring his bed head, his flexed arms and his shirtless body, he commented,

"You are already dolled up. Here I am half naked."

"Well, you can go like that if you want. I certainly wouldn’t mind," I joked.

"Haha very funny Pash. I'm just gonna take a quick shower and get dressed ok."

I replied with a nod and went back to reading my book.

Liam has been working at a café to earn some money. He explained to me this morning while he was rushing to work, that he didn’t want to appear like a freeloader since he was living at my house and using my car. I didn’t know why it bothered him. It certainly didn’t bother me. My thoughts were interrupted by Reid's arms embracing me.

"Ready to go?"  I asked, eyeing him. He was wearing a buttoned down shirt and dress pants.

"Yup. Let's go meet the parents. Can you drive? I'm still a bit tired from the trip."

"Sure thing.  Let’s take the 911."

I drove while he took a nap on the passenger's side. He is adorable. I woke him up, "Hey, we are here."  I whispered. I gave the keys to the valet and we both walked into the restaurant. Mum and dad aren’t here yet.
