It has been a month since Reid has left her. She walked to the cemetery to see him. When she got there, there was someone else there. He had his back facing her. She couldn’t make out who it was due to the sun glaring into her eyes. She got closer. She stepped on a branch, snapping it, causing the person to turn around. It was Lucas Goldstein.
"Hey, sorry I didn’t know you would be coming here," he apologised.
"It's okay."
"How are you?"
"Same old." She was still feeling empty inside. She was just a shell. She glanced at Luke. He was wearing an Armani business suit. Just like the one Reid always wore. She looked at Reid's tombstone. She played with the ring that was on her finger. She doesn’t even know why she was wearing it. He didn’t even manage to ask her, and she didn’t even get to answer him. But this is the only thing she has left of him. He's gone. She broke down, went on her knees and started crying again.
Luke rushed over to her. Placed his arm around her shoulders. She started sobbing uncontrollably now. He pulled her into his chest and comforted her,
"I am so sorry Pasha. I know how much he meant to you." 'You don’t know how much you meant to me, how much you still mean to me.' He thought at the same time. He took in a deep breath, smelling her scent, taking in the coconut shampoo that she uses. How he had missed her.
She struggled to break away from his consoling embrace.
"I can't do this. Not in front of Reid," she said to Luke as she got up and started walking away, leaving Luke kneeling on the ground. He got up and ran after her. She was still sobbing. He took her hand and pulled her back into his chest.
"We are not doing anything wrong Pasha. Look, you need someone to cry on and I am here. So use me," he assured her. Tears were streaming down her face again. She looked so fragile. It broke his heart looking at her in this state. He just wanted to kiss her and tell her that he is there for her. That he will be there for her. That he wouldn’t mind being Reid's replacement. That he could be her happiness again. That he wanted to be the reason she would smile again. But he knows for now, she needs time. A lot of time.
He drove her back to her house where he was greeted with Liam's relieved face.
"Pasha! Where have you been? I have been looking everywhere for you!" Liam exclaimed while taking her from Luke's arms. Liam took a look at her face and the red and puffy eyes were a dead giveaway.
"Pash, you really shouldn't go there anymore. I know it is hard, but you really have to let go," Liam said to her.
"YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND! NO ONE UNDERSTANDS!" Pasha screamed and ran into her room and locked the door behind her.
Liam sat down on the couch and just kept silent.
"Uuh, hey Liam," Luke broke the silence.
"Oh hey man. Oh god, Luke! Sorry I didn’t realise you were there. My mind has just been scattered lately. Wow, I haven't seen you since forever. Looking good man," Liam replied.
"Yeah thanks. How have you been doing?"
"I am alright but Pasha is really having a difficult time. She just can't seem to move on. It is heartbreaking. I tried talking to her but there's no use. Maybe you could give it a shot. Hey, how did you know anyway?"
"It is Reid Kauffmann. We run around the same business circles. Plus, my PA told me that someone has been snooping around, trying to find my whereabouts. Little that I know that it was Gordon. When I asked him, he said Pasha had instructed him to. I am not going to lie that I was ecstatic."
