"I want to explain myself Pasha. We need to talk."
I started to wriggle, I didn’t want to have the talk. I didn’t want to relive that dreaded moment. He already had a firm grip on me so I couldn’t go anywhere.
"Stay still Pasha. Let me explain what happened."
"What's there left to explain? You kissed her. After you kissed me," I retorted.
"She doesn’t mean anything to me. She's Sandra's girlfriend. Sandra thought we would be cute together. So we went out once, all the four of us. Me, her, Sandra and Dean. I didn’t feel anything for her but she thought more of it than I did. She just jumped me when you saw us. Before I could push her back, I saw you calling and when I was about to answer, I saw you running the other way. I called after you, but you were already gone. I wanted to chase after you, but I had to get rid of her first. I told her that I had my heart in another place. That I wanted to stop seeing girls on top of girls and instead give my heart to one person. She started crying so I had to comfort her. By the time I got to your house, you were not there. I thought you were just ignoring my calls, so I went to the mansion and asked them. They didn’t know where you were either. So I drove around everywhere.
You were nowhere. David came by the school a few days later to tell me to stop coming by your house every morning because apparently you were in Switzerland indefinitely. So I did. I didn’t know what to do. When you came back to school, I was afraid to approach you especially since you were already with Liam. I thought you had forgotten all about me. That you found a replacement.""But you hate me…" I blurted out.
"What? Where did you get that from?" he quizzically asked.
"You said so in your sleep when you were sick. You said, 'I hate you Pasha Anderson'."
"I was asleep Pasha. And I didn’t mean it that way. It was supposed to be I hate you Pasha Anderson for leaving me, for making me hate myself for what I have done to you, for replacing me so fast, for making me feel like I was nothing more than just a kiss."
Silence. A tear rolled down his cheek.
"Stop crying Luke," I said.
"Please Pasha. Give me another chance," he pleaded.
Silence. I didn’t know what to do.
"I have to think about it."
He still had his arms around me. He placed his chin on my head and whispered.
"I love you Pasha Anderson."
We stayed in that position for what seemed to be forever. I finally broke the silence.
"Okay."
"Okay what?"
"Okay, I'll give you another chance."
He pulled me closer to him.
"I want to kiss you so badly right now, but I want you to take charge Pasha. I don’t want to make any more mistakes," he said.
I smiled. I looked up and kissed his chin. I got up.
"I'm hungry," I said. He looked surprised since when he knew me last, I rarely got hungry.
"Okay, I'll go check what we have in the pantry. Stay warm here." He got up and kissed my forehead. I heard him rummaging through the pantry. He came back with a loaf of bread and tuna fish and apples.
"Tonight's special… tuna sandwiches," he declared as he laid down all the food on the table.
We finished eating the sandwiches and we talked about the time we have spent apart for the past 2 months.
