Gabriella POV

I felt a poke on my arm, I slowly rub the sleep of my eyes and look up to see Anita holding a candle, and standing kneeling on the side of my bed.

"That's not creepy at all" I whisper, taking the duvet off myself and sitting up straight.

"How could you disappear like that and just come back and sleep without waking me up, you got some nerve" she harshly whispered at me

I sighed, and looked out of the window as it was still dark "What time is it Anita?"

"Its five in the morning"

"I start my chores at nine" I said laying back down on my pillow

"Not today, Aria needs all hands on deck." Anita says poking my back "Today is the day"

"What day?" I mumble into my pillow, my eyes still shut

"The royal wedding"

I sat up straight my eyes now fully open, all the tiredness and drowsiness I felt seconds ago has disappeared as I look at my friend in the eye

"No it's in a couple of months"

"No, a few days they changed their minds i was going to inform you but Aria told me she already spoke to you"

I bit my lip harshly, why would she lie about telling me. I'm just the maid. And Alec would of said something he has had plenty off opportunities to do so.

"What's the matter Gabriella, you look you've seen a ghost?"

"She didn't tell me" I confessed to Anita "Why wouldn't she tell me?"

"Maybe she forgot, how many maids are in this mansion?" She shrugs "How about you take a shower do your thing and meet me in the kitchen"

I nodded, I stood up and quickly hugged Anita. She hugged me back softly.

"Are we not going to speak about the fact that you disappeared on me?"

"Nope" I say popping the p.

Prince Alec Leonidas P.O.V

I stared out of my bedroom window where I could clearly see the backyard, it was set to perfection. Just the way Aria said it would look.

Hundreds of flowers, hundreds of seats all gathered around for our guests. I knew it was my duty to marry Aria, even though I wasn't completely in love with her. My parents promised her father that once she turned eighteen she would have their youngest son, which unfortunately was me.

However I never thought of it as an arranged marriage, I was always attracted to her. However times she made me angry. My eyes scan around the yard, I see Gabriella standing their with flowers in her hands and laughing along with the other maids.

I close my eyes tightly, I couldn't think about her. I knew was I felt deep inside my heart and I know that she is the one for me. But theirs just a lot of responsibility, God knows what Aria's father and his army would do to my family if-

Before I could finish my thoughts I heard a loud knock coming from my bedroom, it opened gently George poked his head out, and walked in shutting the door behind me. His suite was silly black.

"Brother, I find it really embarrassing that you're getting married before me" he says, walking towards me and shoving me playfully.

"Your just saying that because you know deep down that I'm going to be the king, and your not"

"You know I would rather stab myself in the eye and set my body on fire before I would ever want to be king" he says truthfully "You know o have to go to war in a couple of weeks."
