Gabriella POV

I felt a raindrop on my forehead and looked up at the sky, it was pitch black and all I saw where the tall trees surrounding me as I walked through the woodland.

For some reason the king that can't get killed also known as Raynar let us leave. I didn't ask any questions but as soon as Alex said we can go I just followed him out of the door without turning around. The guards didn't ask us why we took so long or what happened to the mission, they just followed their kings orders, I sense they would keep following him even if he jumped into a volcano.

Once we entered the kingdom I felt a sense of relief, I knew this wasn't home for me however it was a familiar place. I immediately went into the kitchen and ate a load of bread with red wine. It was the only food I could see on the table and I didn't have time to be fussy as my stomach was grumbling loudly.

Alec walked into the kitchen with an older women I've seen, she was always in the garden and worked their I was surprised she and the King were laughing together, when they both glanced my way I pretended to look at the ceiling trying not to be obvious.

After a few minutes she left with a trey of food and he walked towards me with no emotion on his face, which was strange because I could of swore I just saw him smiling.

"You are staring extra hard today, is their something on your mind?" He said low

"I'm just trying to eat my bread in peace but now that you mentioned it their is something on my mind. What happened with you and king Raynar why did he just let us go?"

"doesn't concern you" Alec purred under his breathe

"Fine how about I leave you alone then your highness, king Alec leonidas" I bow to him so hard that when I stood straight I felt dizzy.

I walked out of the kitchen and entered the main hall which was filled with guests, seems like the royals were throwing a small gathering.

Alec stood in front of me blocking my view of the handsome men, I rolled my eyes.

"Do you need something your highness?"

"When will you cut with the formalities Gabriella?" He sighs shaking his head.

"When you stop with the lies"

He raised his eyebrow up "Excuse me?"

"You heard me"

"I did, I'm just giving you another chance to change your answer."

"Or what?" I step forward "What are you possibly going to do, need I remind you your highness, that their a guests here."

His feet where moving towards me and I was perplexed by what was going on, my brain told me to stand my ground however my body was like nope, I began walking backwards which was my automatic response until my back touched the wall and I realised I was trapped.

He put his hand on the wall, his eyes felt like they were burning into me. I tried to look confident but I couldn't even look him in the eye for more then three seconds.

"I don't recall ever lying too you, what made you say that?" His voice was soothing, i finally had the courage to look up at him and my mind was blank.
