Naruto

I look at the structure warily before turning to my pink haired best friend.

She smiles brightly, beaming at me while I huff in annoyance.

"Your excitement is off the charts Naruto!" She says sarcastically and then pouts. "Come on! Cheer up and gear up...cause this..." She points at the university "...is gonna rock!"

I refuse to believe her but manage to give her a small smile. After all her happiness is so infectious that it managed to lit a flame of amusement in me too.

"Enough with the cheesy, encouraging dialogues. I am tired. Let's just go to our apartments." I say ignoring her look and already strapping my seat belt.

She climbs in and scoffs at me.

"You are no fun, Naruto." She pouts as I chuckle and start the car.

My name is Uzumaki Naruto. I have come to Konaha with my best friend Haruno Sakura to complete my college. Getting a Business degree. This was not my idea. I had no interest whatsoever to attend Konoha University. But Sakura insisted that this was the best college for us. She wanted to pursue medicine and I wanted to pursue business. But I expected it all to happen in Tokyo where we used to live. And where we were very happy.

Why would I want to come back here? This was the place where my parents used to live before they died. This place holds my best and worst memories. They are no more but I feel them with me. Always. I live through the happy memories I have of them. And I know they would want me to lead my life as happily as I can.

I sigh as I turn into the street leading to our new apartments. I stop in front of her building. I lived in the next building. We could just share an apartment but we decided on different apartments so that we don't kill each other. But I am pretty sure I am gonna end up living at her place most of the time anyway.

I get out and start with her suitcases but Sakura seemed to be in no hurry. She just sat there and stared at a distance.

I knock on the window, bringing her back to reality. I give her a questioning look and she shakes her head and smiles at me. She gets out and leans on her hand placed at the hood of the car.

"I just realized that we are gonna live our college lives without any adults!!" She squeals.

I smile, amused. "That's pretty fast, you figured that out. Considering your mom wouldn't stop talking about your recklessness and the rules you need to follow."

She waves me off and helps me with the suitcases and boxes. It was a pretty decent apartment. One bedroom- hall- kitchen and of course a connecting bathroom.

I figured that my apartment would be more or less similar. This apartment was already half furnished. It had a TV, a couch which could turn into a bed, a couple of bean bags and a stereo.

Her bedroom was painted a soft pink and her bed was covered in white sheets. There was a big study table and a closet attached.

"I like it." Sakura says smiling and I nod.

"Let's see yours!" She pulls me by my hand.

"But your boxes need to be unpacke..." I start but she cuts me off.

"That can be done later." She says and pulls me to the next building.

My apartment was pretty much the same except my bedroom was painted blue.

"See? The same. Come on let's help you unpack." I say and start walking. I notice her not walking and look back to see her already on the couch, turning on the TV.
