Not Right For You

Chapter 9

Naruto

Gaara and I were cleaning and then hanging my clothes in the closet while Shikamaru lounged on my bed with his eyes closed, supposedly visualising my room.

"You are supposed to help." I say sighing.

"I told you he won't be a help. He is dating my sister so I know him." Gaara says scowling.

I take a break as they start arguing or rather Gaara muttering not so subtly and Shika paying him no attention. I sighed and leaned against the doorframe of my bedroom.

I see her laughing and talking with Temari while setting the hall. She had her hair tied up in a bun. I prefer it open but it would irritate her and that's the last thing I want.

"What next?" I hear Gaara ask and I look at him.

"I am bored by your arguments so we are gonna take a break for lunch and then switch teams."

"Me with Temari." Shikamaru says lazily putting his hand up.

"Okay. You may actually be useful with Temari." I say nodding.

"I am with them." Gaara says and I can guess why. He will not leave Nara with his sister alone when he can help it.

"So I am alone?" I say sighing.

"You have Hinata."

Do I? I think to myself sarcastically.

"Yeah, okay." I sigh

"We are gonna take a break for lunch." I say

"Thank god! I am famished." Temari says plopping down on the couch and Hinata smiles at her.

"Well let's take a stroll outside. I am bored with all the work I just did." Shikamaru says, pulling her up. I raise a brow but let it pass. She frowns but goes with him anyway.

Gaara decides to drop in at Sakura's and announce lunch while I order something.

I order five pizzas hoping they are enough. I look at Hinata to see her staring at my jaw with a faraway look on her face.

"Hinata?" I call out and she snaps out of her daze.

She gulps and walks to her bag. She takes out something and walks back to me.

She held out her hand and a small bottle sat on it.

"What is this?" I ask.

"It's for your jaw. This is a pain relief balm. I make it myself and keep it with me." She says looking away embarrassed.

Aww

I couldn't help but smile and wince slightly at the pain.

"Maybe you can apply it?" I try my luck.

She looks at me surprised and then blushes but opens the bottle anyway. She takes a bit on her finger and massages lightly on the light blue bruise. I bite my inner lip from wincing and stare at her as her eyes are worried and focussed on my bruise.

She catches my stare and blinks as if snapping from another daze and her hand starts to retract.

I hold it in place before she can retract it. I lean in and she looks away, closing her eyes. A small smile plays on my face as I turn her face to stare at me.

She gulps and tries to take a step back but my hold tightens. A strand falls free and I gently put it back behind her ear.
