Sasuke

I rub my hands together and take a deep breath before finally ringing the bell. I step back and my hands bury in my pockets as I wait for Sakura to answer the door.

I smile a bit in anticipation and the door opens to reveal…. someone who is not Sakura.

My eyebrows furrowed in confusion. This is the right house…. right?

"My my." The girl smiles, looking me up and down and I involuntarily step back in alarm.

She chuckles. "If someone had told me that a handsome guy would come knocking at my door, I wouldn't have believed them at all."

"This is Sakura's house, right? I am Sasuke Uchiha. I am here to pick her up." I say and her eyes widen and her grin somehow grows even bigger.

She leans away from the door and steps out.

"You are Sasuke! Wow. Don't be creeped out but I have been hearing a lot about you. I have been wanting to meet you and here you are!" She smiles and I blink, not sure what to say in response.

"You are gorgeous. I see the hype."

My jaw drops open. I feel like I should be offended at that.

She waves away at me. "So you are the reason, Naruto is all hyped up and Sakura has been a nervous idiot all morning?"

I pause at that. I feel relieved that I am not the only one who is nervous.

"Umm…. I guess? I don't think I know you." I say slowly.

She grins. "Shion." She says extending her hand which I accept and we shake hands.

"I am one of Naruto and Sakura's friends from Tokyo. I have been living here for a while now." She says pointing to the apartment behind her.

"Oh. Pleased to meet you." I say nodding. I recall Hinata talking about someone from Tokyo dropping in suddenly at Naruto's apartment. I didn't really listen after Naruto was mentioned. I am still a bit peeved that Hinata and Naruto are now good friends. What she sees in him, I don't know.

"The pleasure is all mine. Come in. We can chat till Sakura returns from an errand I sent her on." I follow her inside and she explains further.

"She was getting unbearable with her pacing around so I sent her to get something from Naruto. I didn't expect you to come this early. You are not even hiding how eager you are for the date." She shakes her head and I blush.

"I- It's not a date. Just hanging out."

"Yeah dude. I meant a friend date." She smirks, "Unless…." She trails off with a mischievous look.

"I am engaged!" I don't mean to but I kind of yell that.

"Is she troubling you with her nonsense, Sasuke k-?" Sakura says, stopping short. She looks at me with a tense expression.

I don't know when she came back in but I immediately stood up and shook my head.

"Have you been waiting too long? I am sorry I was not there." She looks sorry and shoots a sharp glare at Shion. Shion steps back, defensive.

"I am sorry. I didn't know he would be here before time." She shrugs and I try my best to control my blushing.

"Uhh yeah. I arrived earlier than I promised. It's okay, Sakura. We can go now, if you are ready." I stare at her and she smiles and nods.

She tosses something at Shion and grabs her purse and I lead her to my car.

"You look b- good." I smile nervously. She blushed. "You look good too." She replies with a sweet smile.
