Hinata
"I wonder what she meant by that?" Ino speaks up as I lock my car and fall in step with her as we walk to Sakura's apartment.
I shrug indifferently.
"Oh as if you are not curious?!" She rolls her eyes.
I am curious. Very curious. All Sakura was willing to give up at Ino's incessant bugging was that someone showed up out of the blue and she especially was not happy with their showing up.
We see Sakura tapping her foot furiously on the pavement, getting agitated.
I share a look with Ino who shrugs. We both know the only person who could annoy Sakura this much was Naruto. She has a temper. And the only person who can calm her down is Naruto.
What am I getting myself into?
She looks up and gives us a thin lipped smile which turns more into a grimace.
"So are you gonna enlighten us now?" Ino pipes up sarcastically. I nudged her. And she rolls her eyes.
Sakura sighs at the exchange and turns away to walk to the stairs to her apartment. She paused and turned back.
"You know how the line people use after a breakup, 'let's be friends?'" Sakura asks and we nod.
"Well Naruto took it to heart and follows it religiously!" She lets out a breath.
"You mean...." I start.
"Yep. His ex-girlfriend, now very good friend, Shion is waiting outside my apartment."
She let's that sink in for a while.
"And you hate her?" Ino asks.
"I dislike her." She corrects and Ino raises a brow
"... With a passion." She adds looking away.
"Okay? So why are we here?" Ino asks, looking at me.
"To stop me if I lose my cool. Hasn't happened yet with her cause Naruto would be around to diffuse the tension with his dorkiness." She smiles lightly.
I can't help but smile at that. I can only imagine the lame jokes he would crack to make Sakura smile and diffuse the situation and the smug grin that would follow.
"Okay, come on. Time to face the music." Ino winks and we both roll our eyes.
We quickly go up the stairs to her apartment. Sakura looks around frowning.
"Where the hell is she? She said she is waiting outside my apartment. Has she gone up? But Ino is here..." She mutters to herself.
The apartment door opens and a smirking face comes into view. She leans against the doorframe.
"You know you should really change your spare key location. Doormat is too predictable...." She smirks.
A scowl is etched on Sakura's face at the smug voice and she turns to her, folding her arms in a defensive position.
I take this time of their stare down to look at the girl in front of me. She is really pretty. She has pale lavender eyes. Darker shade than mine and light blond hair that falls past her waist. She wore a leather jacket over thr white V neck tee she wore with skinny, ripped blue jeans and black boots. She was rocking a rock band member vibe and it seemed she had a permanent smirk on her face. Or that would just be because of Sakura.
I immediately disliked her. No, not because she is Naruto's ex but because Sakura didn't trust her. She would have a good reason, right? Maybe she was not a good influence on Naruto. Or she did something to hurt him and Sakura hasn't forgotten about it even if he has. There can be plenty of reasons...
