Ino nudges Kiba as his eyes widen. Both Sasuke and Hinata look at each other solemnly while the rest of the table face palms at his slip up.
But Naruto and Sakura just looked wide eyed. Sakura didn't know why it was so shocking or why she even cared that the two strangers were engaged. Naruto on the other hand was just pissed. It ticked him off that hime was engaged. To teme!
(OMG! See what I did there? 😂)
Naruto
"Shit. I'm so sorry guys. I totally forgot this is not supposed to be disclosed." Kiba says sheepishly.
"Well I guess they are our friends now and they deserved to know. But keep it to yourself, okay?" Ino says and we nod absently.
Everyone resumes their lunch without talking much.
Hinata and Sasuke kept to themselves, engaging in small conversations while we just observed.
"How were your classes?" Sakura asks me.
"Yeah it was good. How about you? I am sure you made an impression." I say grinning as she hits me playfully.
"No. I didn't do much." She says quietly but looking at my face she gave an exasperated sigh.
"Okay. I answered a few questions and actively participated." She adds.
"And got to know a few professors and engaged in an active conversation about the subject and its importance in medicine." I finished for her while she shakes her head and looks away holding a smile on her face.
I chuckled at her. I knew Sakura. She has this pleasing personality when it comes to interacting with teachers. She was the president of the student body committee for this reason.
The A+ student and the 'it girl'. But she never let this steal her personality. She is humble and friendly as ever.
"Naruto, is that really you?"
I hear a voice call and turn around to see who it is. A red haired boy and a dark haired guy stood there, the latter in a lazy stance but with a smirk on his face.
"Gaara. And Shikamaru." I grin and give them a bro hug.
"Tokyo to Konoha. Never expected to see you here. When I heard your name making rounds, I couldn't believe you were here."
I nod and point at Sakura. The boys follow his trail and smile at her.
"Is this Sakura? Hi Sakura. We have heard a lot about you from this baka." Gaara says, smiling as Sakura blushes.
"These are the guys I met last summer. I told you about them..."
"Oh the ones you got in a fight with?!" She says a bit too excited and as if realising her expression falls as she notices me trying to hold back a smile.
"That was a bit loud." She mutters and both the boys chuckle.
"I do think we were a bit of a fight." Shikamaru says
"And at fault too." Gaara says, grinning and patting me.
"I am sorry. It was just a really good story. So I got a little carried away." Sakura smiles sheepishly.
"Looks like all this dobe knows to do is fight or get into fights." Sasuke speaks up, unnecessarily and I glare at him.
"Wonder what kind of parents you have who encourage this sort of..."
A weird and strong rage hit me as I heard those words. Nonetheless from a person who knows nothing about me.
"Shut the fuck up." I grit out, angry. I take a step to castrate him but Sakura stops me.
"Naruto." She looks at me. "Just ignore him."
I glare at her still angry. She gives me a pleading look. I shook her hand off and her eyes widened.
"Naruto..." She attempts to apologize but I hold my hand up.
"No need Sakura. I will just meet you back at the apartment." I say looking away and grab my bag and storm out.

Sakura
I see him storm out not sparing me a glance. I bite my lip from breaking down.
"Hey do you need us to check up on him?" Gaara asks
"No. It's best to let him be when he's pissed." I give him a short smile thanking him.
I then turn towards Sasuke Uchiha and give him death glare.
I lean in and stare straight into his eyes.
"You are just testing my patience Mr. Uchiha. Nothing warrants you to question anything about my friend. So I suggest you keep your questions and your attitude to yourself. Or I will not be talking to you so politely."
I grab my bag and storm out, not sparing a second glance at the wide eyed raven haired boy.

Hinata
I just stared wide-eyed at the whole drama before Naruto stormed out. I wanted to follow him and ask him if he was okay but nothing 'warranted' me as Sakura put it for Sasuke.
I was not his friend. He was not my friend. He was just a guy who flirted with me and made me blush by calling me 'hime'.
Yet when Sakura stormed off I excuse myself from the shocked people around and walk out in a random direction. I didn't have any more classes so I should be going home but I took the long route hoping to get a glimpse of the blonde haired flirt.
I didn't. I tried to look in a few classes but I didn't see him. Sighing I walked to my car which was parked in a shady spot. I unlock it and to my surprise I see him. Playing on his phone sitting under a shady tree.
"Are you stalking me?" I blurted out and realising that, I shut my mouth with my hand.
He looks up surprised and seeing me manages a chuckle out of him.
"No. But now I know your car so I will now by parking my car next to you or somewhere near your car." He says sarcastically and grins.
He gets up from his spot and shoves his phone inside his pocket before approaching me.
"I saw you looking for me." He says casually and I feel my pale face growing warm.
"W-what! No, I was not. Looking. For you."
He gives me an amused smile.
"I was actually joking. But now I have my doubts."
I look at him wide-eyed and then look away.
"Tell me. Why are you dating that jerk? I don't think you are right for each other. Well he is not right for anyone from what I have seen." He rolls his eyes
I snap my eyes to him and glare.
"Who I am dating really doesn't concern you. It's none of your business."
I get in my car and glare at him before driving off.
