Sasuke
"Be home this weekend. We have a business gathering. I will introduce you to some important people."
"But..." I protest and he lifts his hand signalling there will be no more discussion on this matter.
I look at Mom who gives me an apologetic look. I scoff and look away, hurrying to finish my food and get out of here.
My elder brother walks in whistling a happy tune and I glare at him to shut up. He instead just smiles and flicks my forehead before taking a seat and greeting mom and dad.
"I think it is not fair to trap Sasuke among wise, old, grumpy men, father." He chuckles.
"It is important that he starts knowing them. He is going to join the business after he finishes college." Father states plainly.
I glance at Itachi who sighs audibly.
"Perhaps you are right. But why punish him? At least let some of his friends attend to keep him company throughout the party." He says buttering his toast.
I had finished but I stayed to see my father's response. He seems to ponder over.
"Come on, Fugaku. It is a plausible argument."
"Okay." He says after Mom's push.
He looks at me sharply. "No problems created by you or your friends." He states before getting up and leaving.
The frown on my face spoke volumes about my annoyance. Why would my friends cause trouble? Have they ever? Some of them are the children of his business clients. I start to leave as soon as he is out of sight.
I stop and mutter a small 'thank you' to Itachi, but don't turn to look at him because I knew he would have that annoying smug smile on his face.
I look at my now clean black car and the dobe's smug, grinning face comes to my mind. A scowl etched on my face, I got in and drove to college.
Thankfully my parking was free today of his wretched car. I get out and lock the doors.
I see him leaning against the wall. His eyes lift as if sensing me and we stare at each other like a major showdown. He smirks slightly and I return it back.
I walk to my friends. They were in an animated discussion about the upcoming college fest.
I see bunny reading some notes and approach her.
"Hey." I say and she looks up and smiles.
"Hey. You rarely talk to me now."
"Really?" I ask scoffing and she giggles
"Yeah. You are right. You rarely talk to anyone." She clarifies.
I roll my eyes.
"Are you coming for the 'party'?" I ask and she nods.
"You too, huh?" I ask and she smiles.
"Well you are there to keep me company. Although if you still remain your sullen self, it would be a bummer." She states.
"I am gonna invite the group. Dad allowed it. So hopefully the party and I will not be a bummer."
"Hey Hinata." Naruto waves as he is making his way to class and she greets back smiling. He glances at me as if teasing and walks away.
I raise a brow and look at Hinata.
"You are friends with that dobe?" I ask, surprised.
"He's not that bad." She explains.
