Chapter Three
The day after Aby gave me the advice, everything went back to normal. After school that day, we spent the whole afternoon penny boarding through the whole neighbourhood. Then we spent the night bowling, just the three of us.
I wanted to confess to Austin when he walked me home from bowling that night but I had a mini panic attack just by thinking of it. I tried to hide it from Austin but he found out and got worried about me. He ended up staying over at my house that night to take care of me. These sweet little things are the reason why I like him.
The next day, Aby and I spent the whole day together. Aby called it the 'Abigail and Madison Day'. We went to a carnival that was in the other town, prank called some fast food restaurant and stayed up late to binge watch Teen Wolf. I ended up sleeping over at Aby's because I fell asleep during the first episode of season 5. It was the best day I had so far.
Today, it was Austin's day. An entire day with Austin; the guy who I have been liking for four years. I haven't decided yet whether to confess to him today. I didn't know what to say to him if I were to confess to him.
I didn't know what Austin had planned for us to do today. All he said was that I was going to love it. His words not mine.
"Ready for an afternoon filled with fun and awesomeness me lady?" Austin asked me in a posh English accent.
I giggled at his act but continued with the act by saying, "Why of course kind sir," with the same posh English accent Austin used.
We both couldn't hold in the laughter much longer and ended up laughing our ass off. We were still in the school parking lot so everyone around us were looking at us weirdly like we're some crazy people.
"Come on weirdo. THE AFTERNOON AWAITS!" Austin pulled my arm and dragged me to his car.
"So I'm the weirdo?" I asked him while laughing at him.
"Yes, you are."

I wasn't expecting this. What Austin planned was amazing. I seriously couldn't believe it.
"You like it?" Austin's voice burst my little bubble.
I turned around and hugged him so tight while shouting out several 'thank you' and 'oh my gods'.
He took us to our old shed. He even filled up the mini fridge with all my favourite drinks and ice cream. The best thing that he did was that he bought pizza from my favourite pizza place.
"This place brings back so much memories doesn't it?" He asked while he sat down on a bean bag.
I was still speechless so I simply nodded at his question.
The shed was built by all our dads. Mine, Abigail's and Austin's. They built it when we were seven. We used to spend all our time in here. We also used to have sleep overs here. All the things that we needed in this shed. We have a mini fridge, a dvd player, a whole lot of pillows and bean bags.
Why don't we hang out here anymore? The reason was because my dad died two years ago. After my dad died, I didn't have time to come here. I would spend my afternoons working to help my mum pay the bills and my nights to study. Austin and Aby would usually keep me company during work. Now that I'm back here, it feels nice.
"Come on weirdo, the pizza is going get cold," Austin pulled me back to reality.
"Oh please, you know that you're the weirdo, here right? You don't have to keep lying to yourself," I shot back at him for calling me a weirdo.
"I don't have to lie to myself to know that you're the weirdo here."

Austin was right, I loved what he planned. We watched all my favourite movies, played my favourite games and ate a whole lot of junk food. The afternoon was almost perfect. I still haven't told Austin that I like him. I was planning on confessing to him but throughout the whole afternoon, the timing never seemed right. Plus, I didn't want one of my panic attacks to ruin the whole afternoon.
"Why are you staring at the floor like you want to eat it?" Austin asked me, breaking my chain of thought, while sitting next to me on the love seat. "And you said I'm the weirdo here," he continued, ending the sentence with a chuckled.
"Nah... You're still the weirdo here," I laughed while replying to him.
He started to laugh at me and we just ended up laughing for a good few minutes before the room went silent.
"What were you thinking about? You zoned out for at least five minutes," He suddenly asked, his face filled with seriousness.
"Well, I was thinking about how to tell this guy that I like him before I leave," I blurted out before I could even process what I did.
"Oh I see. Who is this guy you are talking about?" I was still stunted at what I did and when Austin asked that, I turned completely frozen.
"I don't think you know this person," I just replied him with the first thing I could think of.
Austin gasps in surprised and said, "How dare you say such things? I know everyone!"
I laughed at his respond. This is the reason why I like him so much. He can turn my frown into a smile within seconds. He can make me laugh whenever I'm sad. He makes my heart beats so fast just by smiling at me.
"Ok. Ok," he finally said after laughing at me. "Tell me about him."
I was surprised when he said that but before I could do anything, I ended up telling him all the things I like about him. "He's this ball of loveliness. He's the only person who can make me cry one second and make me laugh the next. He would always take care of me and make sure that everything's fine even when it's not. He can make me smile without even saying anything. Maybe that's why I like him," AND HE'S YOU!!! That last part I screamed so long in my head that I thought that I was afraid that he would hear it.
"He sounds like a nice guy."
"He is, that's why I have to tell him before I leave the country. He deserves to know," I said with a sad tone.
"How long have you known this guy?" he asked me with a strange tone.
"A long time ago," I answered his question. "Before you ask, I only realised that I like him quite recently. For about four years?" I added on.
"Oh... Why do you like him only for four years if you knew him for a very long time?" He asked even further.
"He did something for me," I replied. "And before you ask, it's a secret," I added before he could ask any more questions.
His face fell for a second before his famous smile returns to his face. "Oh... A secret is it," he said, sitting up and looking straight into my eye. "If you can keep a secret from me then I can do something to you," He added with a little smirk on his face.
"What?" I asked out of curiosity.
"This," he answered.
Oh God.
