They stared at each other. Two wolves came out behind the humans. One was male, the other, female. The male was dark, with markings on his face, and scars all over. One eye was blue, the other was red. He had a skull birth mark on the base of his neck. The female was light grey, she had just one scar running down her right side. Her eyes were light blue. She had a eight pointed star birth mark about the center of her neck.

"Get up." the male said. They got up. The male looked like he recognized Rinty, and he didn't look happy to see him. "What are you doing back on my territory?!" the male yell asked.

"Sir. I was up in Alaska. But I found someone and took it upon myself to keep him safe and to bring him to you." Rinty said.

The male looked at Artos. It was then that he noticed the birth mark. It was an orange, tho not to bright orange, flame. He knew that this was the one. He looked at Rinty. "Why?" He asked. "Why did you bring him here?"

"Because I was called a rogue. I was only following orders. You, of all wolves should know what that means." Rinty said. The male wolf snapped at him.

"Don't you talk to me like that. I am Alpha of this territory. And just because you are my brother, doesn't mean you have the right to talk to me how ever you wish."

Alpha? Brother? This was all very confusing to Artos.

Rinty bowed his head. "Yes sir. Sorry sir." He said then raised his head "I just want my name cleared."

The Alpha looked back at Artos. He looked confused. "Come in. Both of you."

The humans walked in after the Alpha and the one who appeared to be his mate. When Rinty and Artos walked through the door, the three humans turned into wolves. Their description is as follows. Two females, one male. The first female was a bit small. Her fur was white, eyes a beautiful blue. She had a snowflake birth mark on her neck. The second female was about Artos's size, maybe a little smaller. She was light brown. Her eyes were the same color as her fur. She had a dark brown circle on her neck. The male was dark grey. His eyes were green. He had a green circle on his neck. They all watched the two new comers. Well, the one new comer. Rinty has obviously been here before. The male walked forward "You make trouble, you deal with me." he said.

The Alpha turned to him and said "They won't be any trouble." Next, he turned to Artos "Do you know what that is on your neck?" he asked.

He tried to look at it, but, alas, it was to far up on his neck for him to see. He looked at the Alpha. "Yes sir. Its a birth mark. Sir."

"Okay. And you don't have to say sir in every sentence. This ain't the freekin military." he said.

This place was strange. Humans who can change into wolves, wolves with strange birth marks. The Alpha questioned him further. "What is your mothers name?"

"Martha."

"And.. Wait. Your mother's name is Martha?"

"Yes. Actually, it was. She.. She died a while after my dad and siblings died. Why did you ask again?"

"No reason. But Deadpool, Batman, and Superman would be proud. Anyway, what is your fathers name?"

"Kasai." At this name the Alpha looked at his mate. His mate looked worried. Artos didn't know what to do. Then he heard a voice in his head. 'Is it true?' The voice asked. The voice was female. This was strange. How was this possible? 'Is it true?!' The voice asked again. "Yes." He answered out loud. The Alphas mate walked away. She didn't want to hear any of what was to to be talked about next.

"Ummm..." Artos said "Did I say something wrong?"

The Alpha sighed. "No." he said "It's just that... Well.. Your father.. Well, he is her brother." Brother? Aunt? He needed more information.

"What do you mean?" Artos asked.

"Well," the Alpha started "Your father... No. You need to know the true story from the beginning."

"Yes. Please tell me." Artos said. He was angry. He didn't know why. He was just angry. He sat down and listened.

"Well, first off, I'm the Alpha of this of this territory. I am one of the chosen. The Chosen is a group of highly trained wolves who have the ability to shift into humans. There are ten at a time who are chosen. Each have a gift of one of the element powers Death and Life, Mental Abilities, Ice and Water, Earth, Nature, Dark and Light, Air, Dark Matter, Electricity, and Fire. Each of those Chosen has a birth mark of the power that they possess."

At this, Artos sat straight. He had a birth mark in the shape of fire. "And my birth mark?" he asked.

"I'm getting to that. When a Chosen is getting ready to go to Gehenna, or Heaven if you prefer to call it that, they train the next Chosen for that element power. They are trained to protect anyone in danger of the rogues. The rogues have been targeting us for three hundred years. We were originally given these powers to defend the indigenous people of this land from people who would come here to do nothing but steal. When the rogues found out that we were given great powers, they got jealous. From there, we've been at war with them up to now. The individual packs haven't really done anything against us. They understand the importance of The Chosen."

Artos didn't understand what this had to do with him. "And my father?" He asked in the most polite voice he could muster.

"He was part of my pack. He was jealous of me for my position in the pack, then for the power I possess. As you can see, I have a skull birth mark. I can control life and death. He was getting violent towards anyone who he thought was a threat to him rising in ranks, and to those above him. He was my mates brother. I didn't want to throw him out of the pack. But it was the only thing that could be done."

Artos looked down. All this was hard to take. How could anyone change into a human. This made no sense. No sense at all. Right now he just wanted to talk to his mother. And since he couldn't do that, running was the next best option. Running away from here. He turned and ran for the door. It slammed shut before he got there. Now he was trapped in. He turned around, bared his teeth, and growled.

"Let him go." The Alpha said. "He needs to run this off."

The door opened again, and Artos ran out the door. 'This isn't real. This isn't real. This isn't real.' He kept telling himself. He ran back to the falls. When he got there, there was a wolf already there.
