Opposites Attract (Draco Malfoy Love Story)

New Years Eve Party

Tonight was New Year's Eve. Ava and Draco were at Malfoy Manor. While Draco was downstairs with his mother and father greeting guests, Ava was up in her room finishing off her look for the night.

Her dress was a gift from Draco's parents and it was a black long sleeve form fitting dress with a white design on her shoulders that trickled down the black sleeves. Her maid had put her hair up in a low messy bun. Ava made sure to watch her do her hair carefully just incase she had to redo it in the night. She then topped off the look with a natural makeup look but then with red lipstick.

Ava felt like she had been waiting for hours before she heard a knock on her door. So eager for company, she flung the door open to find Narcissa there waiting for her.

"You ready? Draco has been longing to see you," Narcissa smiled at her.

"I believe I am. Although now that you've come to collect me, I'm suddenly very nervous."

"Oh, don't worry dear. You have nothing to be nervous about."

Narcissa pulled Ava out of the room and led her to the big staircase that was open into the ballroom of Malfoy Manor. Narcissa walked down 1st and walked over to Draco. Ava stood at the top of the stairs watching them. When she decided to descend down the stairs, Ava watched Narcissa whisper a few words in Draco's ear. He looked up at the stairs and saw Ava walking down.

It was like once he opened his mouth, he couldn't close it again. Him looking at her like that caused Ava to blush fiercely so she looked down, smiling to herself. She looked absolutely breathtaking as she walked down the stairs. Everything about her was perfect at that moment. Seeing her caused Draco to gulp and have to loosen his tie.

When she reached the bottom of the steps Draco walked forward and went to grab her hand but then she tripped. They both laughed as Ava said, "Leave it to me to ruin my own big entrance."

"Oh I promise you, you did not ruin a thing," he whispered in her ear causing a shiver go down her spine and her cheeks to go bright red.

"Draco," said a voice behind them. They both turned around to find Lucius Malfoy standing there behind them. "I expect you both to talk to all the guests. Then you can go to the kids party downstairs. I expect you to be back up here before midnight," He reached forward, fixing Draco's tie, and then turned and left.

"Let's get this over with quick love. The kids party is a lot more fun," Draco whispered in her ear. He put his hand on her back and led her over to where there were multiple people standing.

Every time Draco would introduce Ava to someone he was talking to, he would make her feel like a Queen. He would say something about how she was his beautiful or gorgeous girlfriend. He would say how he didn't understand how she fell for him. And each and every time, it would leave Ava blushing furiously.

Once they were finished, Draco told his mother they were headed downstairs to the kids party.

When they got down there, it was a whole new atmosphere. There was blasting music with a mix of Weird Sisters and some other bands Ava hadn't heard of. In the middle of everything was a food and drink table. On the left side of the table there were little kids it looked from the ages 5-12, dancing and playing games with the assistance of a few of the maids. On the right side of the table were the people more around their age group (13-19). They were dancing in a more tight group, grinding on one another.

Draco grabbed her hand and walked her over to the tight group, giving a friendly nod to a few people they passed. As they were walking, Ava spotted all the Weasley kids sitting over in the corner.

Ava pointed to them while Draco redirected their path other towards them.

Ginny spotted Ava in the corner of her eye being lead over to her by Draco. When Draco pulled her so she was walking hand in hand next to him, Ginny spotted the pair. She jumped up, walking quickly towards her, throwing arms around her.
