As we traveled farther and farther away from Summit the sun slowly dawned, rising a sleepy head above the hills of grain before us.
"Can I sleep Hannah?" I asked my legs aching from overuse.
"We need to find water."
"I can't walk much farther."
Hannah must have noticed my knees starting to buckle, and hoped off, grabbing Michel and Kitty off me on her way down. Olivia was walking at my side in deer form. She tried to hold me up on her spindly legs but Hannah had to join in with wolf form to keep me upright.
My head jerked up suddenly, "Someone's here." I heard a rustle is the bushes and the glint of a dart gun. "RUN!" I screamed, jolting Kitty and Michel from their slumber. Michel shifted to run faster and jumped in my back shifting again, back to human form.
"If you need me to i can shift to a cat again, I'll be lighter." I nodded gasping for air.
I had a lot of stamina, but every creature, big or small, needs sleep. I slowed when I felt the presence behind us weaken and disappear. I shift and collapse. I was exhausted.

Hannah's POV

I saw her shift. Her human form sagged to the ground, to weak to stand. Soon her ragged breathing slowed and evened out, she's asleep. Olivia stepped forward, "I'll carry her."
Her graceful deer bent its head and crouched, ready for me to pull Ava onto her back. I nodded once and pulled my friend on in human form.
'I told you she had to stop!' I yelled at Odessa
'Sorry I find survival important!'
'I'm worried Odessa, her lungs might not be able to take it.'
'She'll be ok. Or Ena wouldn't have come back for her.'
'Alright, but we are not pushing her that hard ever again, understand?'
'You got it boss lady.' The she-wolf said before heading deeper into my prey rich brain forest.
"Are you sure you can do it?" I asked
"Of coarse." She snapped, "I might be a doe, but I'm not weak." Her deep eyes blazed with anger not for me but the mystery person who had chased us.
As Ava's limp form was rolled onto Olivia's back I realized how deep in we are. We can't go home, and I thought this would be easy. But obviously it's not.

Ava's POV

I woke up groggy, I tried to get on my hooves but I couldn't they were in mid air, and now that I think about it, my ears won't move. I'm in human form! I thought surprised. I looked to the left, a tail was sticking straight up, white in the back, I look right and see the graceful head of a deer.
"Olivia can I get down?" I asked.
"No." She said firmly, "You need to sleep."
I nodded then shook my head, not understanding at first. "What happened?"
"Well you were exhausted already, and then that person chased us, and when they stopped you collapsed."
"Did they see Michel shift?"
She gasped,"Yes."

A/N I'm so sorry it took me ages to write this, mostly the end because well... I think I broke meh fingers... anyway! Bye!!!
