I've had a crush on Scott since forever but he never even noticed me not when he was unpopular like me and not now, but than Allison happened. She was the one for him. He loved her. The light that shined of his smile was brighter than before her. But then she passed away and the light died just like a piece of me. Seeing Scott unhappy made me unhappy. I had to talk to him someday. Today was the day. Exactly 6 months ago Allison passed away. Scott was at the verge of tears. I walked up to him but saw him talking to Stiles. I backed away. Okay maybe not now.

"Hey. (Y/N) right?" Lydia Martin asked.
"Yes." I smiled.
"Hi I know you are in most of my classes so I was wondering if you'd like to come to the party I'm throwing at my house tonight." She smiled.
"Uh yeah sounds cool thank you." I smiled.
"Great wear a dress, I know it'll suit you perfectly." Lydia smiled.
"Great. I'll do that." I smiled and kept walking.

...

I kept my promise and wore a dress. The only problem was I didn't fit in. I never did. I walked to the pool and sat there being sad.

"Can I sit with you?" Scott asked.

I didn't have to see who it was. His voice was so cute. I nodded and he sat down next to me. our feet were in the water. I looked at him.

"Why aren't you inside?" I asked.
"Didn't feel like coming anyway." Scott sighed and a tear fell from his eyes.

The party inside didn't matter at all. All that mattered to me was making Scott smile again.

"It's okay." I hushed.
"It's not okay." He whispered.
"But it will be I promise." My voice sounded so calm and reassuring.

Our eyes were locked with each other when he kissed me. It was a pretty perfect kiss.

"I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that." Scott said.
"It's cool." I said and looked at the water.

Scott sighed. I had a plan to make him smile again.

"Hey Scott." I smiled devilish.
"What?" He asked.

I splashed water in his face.

"You're paying for that." Scott laughed.

We started a water fight. We both laughed. I ran away from him. Scott chased me. He fell into the pool.

"Oh my god! Scott are you alright?" I asked.
"I'm fine." He smiled.
"Give me your hand." I smiled and offered to help.

He grabbed my hand and pulled me in. I screamed before I laughed. Scott's smile lit up.

"Scott? (Y/N)? What are you doing in the pool?" Lydia asked.
"We got carried away sorry Lyds." Scott said.

I just looked away and climbed out of the water. I was freezing. Scott followed me out.

"It's okay just don't let it happen again." Lydia sighed.

They went back inside. Scott and I stood there.

"I have to go but this was nice." I said.
"No don't go." Scott said and took my hand.
"Tonight has been great Scott I really liked seeing that smile again but this is my wake up call I'm not good enough to deserve you." I said and left.

Scott was taken by surprise and couldn't do anything.

"Scott are you okay?" Liam asked.

Scott sighed.

"I'm fine Liam. Just a bit broken." Scott responded.
"My mom once told me that it's okay to be broken. Without a crack the sun won't come in." Liam said.

Scott smiled.

"Come one let's go inside." Scott smiled at his Beta.

...

I walk into school wearing my hoodie to cover up my face. I was scared to face anyone. Last night I was ambushed by a robber he took my purse and kicked the crap out of me.

"Hey." Scott smiled.
"Hi." I said and hid my face.
"What's going on?" Scott asked.
"It's nothing important." I said and put my stuff in my locker.
"It is." Scott took my hand.

I looked at our hands. It was a perfect fit. He lifted my chin up. The light revealed my bruises. Scott looked shocked. I looked away and hid my face.

"Who did this, when did this happen?" He asked.
"After the party when I left. I was on my way home when someone attacked me. I didn't have anything with me so they just kicked the crap out of me." I felt a tear slipping out of my eye.

Scott hugged me. If I had been normal, I would've screamed but now all I wanted was to stay there in his safe arms. He stroked my back and hushed me.

"It's okay." He hushed.
"It's not." I cried.
"It will be I promise." He said.

I smiled at the use of my words.

"I can walk you to class if you'd like that we're in the same class so um I don't want to be pushing you." Scott said.
"I'd like that, Scott." I smiled.
"Are you in pain?" Scott asked.
"No, just broken." I said.
"Liam told me that it's okay to be broken because how else will the light come in?" Scott said.
"Thanks Scott for everything, but I'm not good enough for you. You're captain of the Lacrosse team and I'm nobody." I said.
"No one is a nobody. You are you and I think you're perfect. You're smart sweet and kind. So stop being so hard for yourself and let me decide if you're good enough for me." Scott said and kissed my lips.

I smiled and felt my knees get weak. The pain in my chest was going away. I smiled.

"You're pretty perfect yourself Scott." I mumbled.
"Come on lets get you to class." Scott smiled and put his arm around your shoulder.

We were broken but in the end who isn't.
