I was drunk and I didn't even mind my ex cheated on me after 7 years of being together. Scott and Stiles were trying to save the day again with Liam gone missing. I would help being a hunter and all but I couldn't take the emotional pain anymore. I drank to forget that's what we all do right. I saw my favourite sour wolf standing at the bar looking around.
"Derek!" I smiled hugging him tight. "Are you alright? We've been looking all over for you." "I was here all along handsome." I smiled. "You are drunk let me take you home." He said. "Nooo! I don't wanna." I pouted. "Come on it's been a long day." He tried. "No I deserve this." I said and ordered another drink. "She wants a water." Derek said. "Water okay." The bartender said and gave a bit of water. "Dery boo no. I wanna stay." I whined. "You've had enough of this self pity. Drink the water and I take you home." Derek said. "Only if you kiss me." I blurred out. "What?" He asked. "Kiss me." I said. "You're drunk. You don't know what you're saying." Derek replied. "I'm not drunk." I said and almost lost my balance.
Derek paid my bill and carried me out. The cold evening made me go sober almost immediately. I realised what I told Derek and felt stupid. The ride home was awkward. I searched for my keys.
"Wait let me help you with that." He said.
He opened the door and sat me in my bed.
"I don't need your pity Derek. This is my life now. I'm left behind with memories and questions and regret." "Who says it's pity?" Derek asked. "You don't like me. Why are you here?" I asked. "After everything we've been through, you still think I don't care? I've changed mainly because of you. You taught me how it felt to let people in. To feel love." He said. "Yeah well forget what I said love is stupid and weak." I said.
My eyes were forming tears again.
"Hey don't cry." He hushed. "I know you're not the most cuddly person, but can you hug me I really need one." I sighed. "For you anything." He smiled and pulled me into a warm and comforting hug. "Hey if you wanted me to I could just kick the crap out of him." He said. "Thanks but no. I would rather stay like this with you." I smiled. "Okay." Derek said.
I fell asleep in his hug. Derek was feeling a little uncomfortable. He wasn't really the hugging type, but in some way he thought it was nice. He was glad to be with me. He listened to my heartbeat and it had never been this calm. Derek pulled me closer and protected me. He gave a small kiss on my head.

I woke up hours later to a sleeping Derek. I barely remember anything. I smiled at Derek and traced his abs. He looked like he was photoshopped. He was perfect.
"Hey." Derek smiled. "Hi." I said. "How are you?" He asked. "Better thanks for staying with me and you know drag me out the club." I said. "Remember it's his loss." Derek said. "Maybe it's me. I'm just a pain in the ass everyone says I am so it must be true." I sighed. "I don't think you are." Derek blurred out. "You don't?" I asked hopeful. "No I think you're adorably cute when you fight back." Derek smiled. "I am not adorable!" I shouted and pushed him playfully.
Derek tickled me. I laughed.
"Stop please!" I laughed. "No this is your punishment." He laughed.
We locked our eyes and Derek kissed me. I kissed back. Derek pulled back and got off me.
"I'm sorry." He said. "I didn't mind." I said. "You shouldn't be with me. All my relationships end in dead." Derek sighed. "I don't care." I said. "But I do. A life without you isn't worth living." Derek said and stood up. "Derek please. Stay." I tried. "I have to go." Derek said. "I love you." I said.
He stopped in the doorway.
"You shouldn't. I make all the wrong decisions that will hurt you." Derek said. "I don't care. I'm not sorry that I'm in love with you." I said. "Why me?" He asked. "You are the only one that came looking for me. You're the only one who gave me comfort in my darkest moment. It's not impossible to fall in love with you." I said and stepped to him. "I don't want to hurt you." Derek said. "You won't." I smiled and kissed him.
