Chapter Sixteen

                    Chapter 16

  "It's so great to finally meet you!" Jazmyne exclaimed as she pulled Eryn into a hug.

  "You too Mrs. Roth." Eryn said as she  returned the hug.

  "Please call me Jazmyne or Jaz."

  "Yes ma'am." Eryn said smiling.

  Jazmyne walked up and hugged Tabitha.  "I can't believe that I have gained two daughter-n-laws in one day!" Reaching out to touch Eryn's belly, she continued, "And a grandchild!"

  Eryn blushed and put her hand on her stomach. 

  "Mom please! You're embarrassing them." Draven said, as he pulled Eryn into his side.

  "I'm sorry. I'm just excited. Plus what do you think your Nana is going to do when her and Charles get here? Not to mention Grandma Helen and Mamaw Luci."

  Samantha laughed when Draven groaned at the mention of his dad's grandma. He knew that his Mamaw Luci had always been kind of overbearing. Her age hasn't slowed her down at all either, if anything it kind of made her a bit worse.

   "How was the trip?" Daymen asked walking into the kitchen.

  "It was great. Very successful." Draven answered, giving his other half a kiss on the cheek.

  "Are ya'll going to introduce me to my new sister-n-laws or do I have to do it myself?" Ansleigh asked as she handed Drexlin to Draven and pulled Eryn into a hug. "I'm Ansleigh! You must be Eryn!" She pulled away and gave Tabitha a hug with the same enthusiasm. "And you must be Tabby! I'm so happy to have some more estrogen around here."

  "I'm sorry that I didn't warn you about my wild, and hug crazed, family." Draven whispered as he bounced the smiling baby on his hip.

  Eryn smiled at him, reaching for Drexlin. "It's ok. I love it. I'm an only child, so this is great."

  "I wouldn't know how to act if I was an only child. We have always been so close." He pointed at his twin. "That's Alex, he's 20 minutes younger than me. Devlin is fourteen months younger than us and Ansleigh is nine months younger than him. Mom and dad wanted a big family. Mom has a twin brother and an older sister. Dad has three sisters, but he was raised as an only child. So they both wanted a lot of kids. I just don't think four of us in two and a half years was exactly what they had in mind. But we love it."

  "I want a big family." Eryn told him, smiling at a drooling Drexlin. "I'm guessing twins run in your family then?" She asked, looking up at him.

  "Twins are common in our race, in general. Most wolves in the wild have more than one pup. So that's just one of the traits that we got from them."

  "Um, does that mean...?" She stopped and looked back down at her stomach.

  "No, you're probably only carrying one, considering that it was only the human gene that was passed. But we will find out next week at our first appointment." He answered.

  "Can ya'll please take a seat? Everyone is now here, and I am starving." They all  laughed at the Alpha as they made their way to the dining room.

  "Let's take a walk." Draven grabbed Eryn's hand and headed outside.

  They walked down to the small lake. "This is gorgeous!" She said smiling, looking around.

  "This has always been our favorite spot to go. It's comforting." Draven said wrapping his arms around her.

  "I love it, and I love you." She told him, reaching up to give him a kiss.

  "And I love you."

  "No matter what?" She asked.

  "Of course. Why would you ask that?"

  "I was just asking." She stopped and took in a shaky breath. Pulling out of his arms she grabbed his hands and looked him in the eyes. "Draven Martin Roth. I, Eryn Maxine Trenton, officially accept you as my mate..."

  "Stop!" Draven interrupted her. "What are you doing?! I told you that we couldn't do this until after the baby is born."

  She put her hand on his cheek lovingly. "Just love me, and it will all be fine. It's too late Draven, I have already accepted you and the splitting of my soul has already begun, I can feel it stirring. We have to finish it, now." She told him, with tears in her eyes.

  With another shaky breath, she started again, "Draven Marten Roth. I, Eryn Maxine Trenton, officially accept you as my mate. To have by my side from this day on. Until the day I take my last breath I will love no other person, or wolf, in the way that I love you. I give you my heart, and I give you my soul to forever be completed by yours."

  Draven took in a deep breath, and with tears in his own eyes he spoke the words that would forever change their lives. "Eryn Maxine Trenton. I, Draven Marten Roth, officially accept you as my mate. To have by my side from this day on. Until the day I take my last breath I will love no other person, or wolf, in the way that I love you. I give you my heart, and I give you my soul to forever be completed by yours."

  As soon as he finished the words, Eryn let out a scream of agony and collapsed into his arms.
