                         Chapter 2

The next few weeks seemed to drag by. Draven could not get that girl out of his head.

Her laughter alone almost brought him to his knees. He knew that she was his other half, he just didn't know how to approach the situation.

He was pretty sure that his family had caught on, but they were giving him time to work it out himself.

"You ready man?" His cousin Jesse asked him, snapping him out of his thoughts.

"Yeah, let's do this before my mom starts crying again." Draven told him, climbing into his truck. Jesse nodded his head smiling, climbing into his own vehicle.

Even though Jesse was two years older than Draven he was starting the university at the same time.  They had even managed to get it worked out so that they could be room mates. Unlike Draven, Jesse didn't hesitate to leave the community to live closer to the campus.

"Hey wait up!" Draven slammed on his breaks when he saw his sister waddling down the path.

He put the truck into park and climbed out to meet her halfway.

"What's up An?" He asked.

"Someone wants to say bye to you." Ansleigh answered handing him the baby that had been perched on her hip.

Draven smiled at his one year old nephew and then looked at his sister. "You know you better call me when you go into labor. I don't care if I'm in class. I will be here when my niece is born."

"Yes Alpha." She said, smiling at her oldest brother.

He took a moment to really look at his sister. She looked so tired. He really couldn't blame her though. She was only eighteen with a one year old and one on the way. That had been a huge argument with their father when her and Asher announced that they were expecting. He finally came around and is now wrapped around that boy's finger, along with all three of his uncles.

She pushed herself and graduated high school early. Asher graduated as well and is now in school and working at the family's Architecture business. They are doing real good for themselves, living in a little house close to their parents, that Asher helped design and build.

He felt wet kisses on his cheek and looked back down to the baby. "You better be good for your momma. I'm just a phone call away mister." The pup just smiled his almost toothless grin at him and reached back for Ansleigh.

Draven gave his youngest sibling a hug and rubbed her belly. "I love you An. I won't stay away, I promise."

"I know brother. I love you too. I'll see you on Sunday. You know mom isn't going to let you miss Sunday dinners at Grandma and Grandpa's. She'll drive up there and drag you home herself." She smiled at him and gave him a sisterly kiss on his cheek.

She waved at Jesse and turned to head back into the house.

Draven watched her close the door before he headed back to his truck. Climbing in he thought about his sister and how hard it was for her to accept Asher as her mate. Now they are happily married with one child, and another one on the way.

Leaving home he had a renewed hope in his heart, that one day his future will look like that. He put the truck in drive and headed off in the direction of the only woman he knew of that could make those dreams come true.
