My heart beats in my chest banging against my bones vibrating my whole body, each beat harder than the last. I was wet and uncomfortable due to the sweltering heat. I dissolve into I fit of hopeless weeps and staggered breaths. The room was pitch black the only source of light was that coming from the small crack of something unknown.

I stay standing in place, feet planted on the ground below me. I don't move or say a word. The air is thick and hot around me making it difficult to breath.

All I see is black. Not a piece of colour, but the dim orange crack of light that diminishes into the darkness. The place is just a dark endless pit of black.

My breathing picks up and becomes heavy and loud. Each inhale and exhale could surely be heard from a distance. My eyes flutter open and closed just to see the same dark image each time. I back up in a frenzy not knowing to do.

Where was I? Was I trapped? Will someone help me?

"Help!" I scream with a strained voice. The words crack as it falls from my mouth. I sound helpless and valuable.

No one can help you!

You're worthless.

I squeeze my eyes shut and a single tear falls from my eye and slides down my cheek and onto my collar bone. I'm in a black pit of nothing and can't see a thing. My head wobbles on my shoulders, feeling light and fuzzy.

I start to back up, shuffling my feet, in hope to find a wall to this frightening room. Was it even a room?

The sound of my feet gliding against the rough pavement echoed back to my ears. A second tear strolls down my cheek and joins the last one on my collar bone. I come to a halt when my back side is suddenly in contact with another body. I freeze in place still touching the person behind me.

"Get off of me." The voice is all too familiar and sends a sharp pain in my chest.

I spin around and catch eyes with the boy who spoke. Carson stands there with a nasty look stuck to his pretty little face. He snarls at me like I'm an animal that should be locked in a cage.

"What are you looking at? No one likes you!" My heart drops when I hear the words leave his lips. Each word meaning more than the last. Each word stabbing me in the heart with a twist.

"What-" I'm cut off by the blonde standing in my front view.

"Go away! I hate you!" My mouth hangs open and a few more tears fall from my eyes.

My feet rub the ground, bringing me back in an ignominious retreat. My back hit a wall and I feel like choking. My tears are falling in a disastrous amount. I let a sob escape my lips and my eye a close in defeat.

What did I do? What was he saying? Tell me this isn't real.

I scream out a cry for mercy for no reason, but self-containment. I shake back and forth and take deep breaths.

"Please! Please! Please!" I yell. I notice the voice is mine, but it sounds different than the last time I spoke.

My eyes shoot open and I'm in my room. The light is shining brightly through the window and my door is closed tight. It's silent with just the sound of my heavy erratic breathing.

I look down at myself and see the sweat on my body. I can feel the dry, salty tears are making my face stick in its same position. My body aches in pain and I feel like complete garbage.

I look to my right and see the clock days 6:30 am. I decide that it would be pointless to fall back to sleep so I get out of bed and get ready for the long day ahead of me. I'm thankful it's a Friday.
