Pride Parades

Y/N sighed as she got up and got out of bed on her way to shower, after her shower, she got dressed and grabbed her things that she'd need for the day, as she's slinging her bag over her shoulder, her roommate busts into her room with a big smile on his face.

"Ready to go, Y/N/N?" He asks and Y/N chuckles.

"Yes, you raging homosexual, let's go before you drag me there and kill me in the process." She says and he purses his lips and looks his roommate up and down.

"Girl, I would not be talking, I look bi compared to your gay ass." He says, walking with his roommate out of their apartment and down to the street.

"Honey, remember who's idea it was to get pride flag tattoos."

"Boo, bye, you loved that idea." He defends and Y/N laughs.

"I did, now shut up and keep walking." Y/N responds and the two walk in a comfortable silence until they reached the parade. "Yo, yo, T, food." Y/N says, smacking Thomas's arm, he looks over and pushes Y/N away.

"Okay, so shut up and walk in the direction of food." He says and Y/N walks toward the stand and smiles before ordering. "Ooh! And a strawberry mango smoothie!"

"Sorry, we're out of mango." The man says and Y/N looks at the girl taking a mango smoothie from another employee.

"Uh, okay then, just strawberry then." Y/N compromises before stepping to the side to let Thomas order, when she gets her food and smoothie, she walks away, knowing that Thomas would find her, or go off and find his friends. She eats as she walks and drinks her smoothie after throwing her trash away, but jumps when someone yells at her.

"Hey! You disgusting pig!" She hears and rolls her eyes.

"Oh god, not these bible thumpers again." Y/N mumbles before attempting to continue walking.

"You with the cup!" The person yells again and Y/N huffs before continuing away.

"You know, I'm surprised you walked away from that." Y/N hears from behind her and she turns around to see mesmerizing green eyes.

"Uh, yeah, I don't deal with religion, and there's already a crowd, which no doubt, goes to church every Sunday and believes in some kind of nonexistent man in the sky that 'makes everything happen." Y/N says and the green eyed person laughs as they move to walk in front of Y/N, but walking backward, Y/N smiles when she sees the person fully, a beautiful green eyed, raven haired girl with the cutest smile and a laugh that could cure cancer.

"Oh?" She asks, sipping a smoothie at the same time Y/N sips hers.

"Yeah. They're all idiots if you ask me, gay or homophobic." Y/N says and the girl giggles again. "I'm Y/N." Y/N says, holding her hand out to the girl, who looks at the outstretched hand, then back at Y/N with a cute little grinning smirk.

"I'm Lauren." She says as she takes Y/N's hand and shakes it, before adjusting their hands so that their fingers are intertwined.

"So we're walking together?" Y/N asks, looking over at Lauren as she falls into stride with the grey eyed girl.

"Yup." Lauren chirps and Y/N smiles as they keep walking, and Y/N catches the object that flies at them, as well as drops her smoothie to catch the object. Y/N stands still, holding a pride flag and pouting down at the cup in the puddle of the spilled smoothie laying on the asphalt. "Here, take mine." Lauren says and Y/N looks at the smoothie in Lauren's hand.

"No, I can't."

"You can." Lauren says, taking the flag from Y/N and replaces it with the smoothie. Y/N looks at Lauren, the back at Lauren, before finally taking a sip.
