Beep! Beep! Beep!
My utterly annoying alarm clock goes off and I shoot out of bed, arm in more pain with every movement. I ignore it and place about 300 bracelets on. Time to start a new day of school. New places, new people. Maybe I can make some sort of descent image of myself. I slide on my red Sleeping With Sirens band shirt, black skinny jeans, and old rugged red vans. I brush my matted mess of black hair, and apply eyeliner around my blue eyes. I stand in the full-length mirror eyeing my reflection. I look pretty descent. I slink down the stairs to find Susan walking with a hot mug of coffee in hand. "Ready for school, hon?"
"As ready as I can be." I sigh not at all exited for this experience.
"Well you had better be getting to the bus stop. It'll be here in 15." She says in an all too chirpy way.
"Right." I mumble as I start down the road walking at a speed surely a tortoise could surpass. I reach the stop sign at the end of the block, and a boy is sitting in the bench, so I stand. He's pretty good looking. Milk chocolate brown eyes, brown medium length hair with little waves and curls framing his symmetrical features. He was somehow perfect looking. He wore a hooded sweatshirt and black loose fitting jeans.
"You're the girl who moved in a few houses down, huh?" he asks in a soft voice almost sounding shy or nervous.
"Uh, yeah, and you are?" I ask nervously.
"Andrew, and you?"
"Angel." I mutter looking down at my shoes wishing I could disappear.
"You are an Angel if I ever did see one." he stands up and stretches.
"Do those pickup lines work on everyone?" I laugh, finding some sort of courage in me.
"I hope so, angel face." He winks. Then, the bus pulls up and he boards. Astonished, I slowly follow suit. He sits in the back with a group of kids. I sit closer to the front where fewer people sit.
"What on earth just happened?" I whisper. "Great now I'm talking to myself." I scoot far into the seat and put my headphones in while Asking Alexandria plays softly.
