~Angel's pov~
When I finally finished crying in Andrew's arms my phone buzzs in my pocket. "Hello?" I answer quickly reading Toms name across the lit screen.
"Angel, can you come to the hospital? If you'd like you can bring Andrew." He sniffles.
"What's wrong." The lump in my throat choking me up a bit. "Is everything okay?"
"We can talk when you get here." He sniffs again, and the line goes dead.
"We need to get to the hospital." I say woriedly pulling Andrew up. i slide on my coat and lead him out to the back yard where tom has an old motercycle.
"Do you know how to drive that?" Andrew questions.
"Tom taught me the basics." I mutter, and climb on scooting up so Andrew can fit. I kick start this death trap and slowly make our way out of the yard to the main road; Andrew clinging to my back like a toddler hugging his moms leg. The adrenaline of the speed making my heart flutter. Is this why Tom loves this thing? After a long ride we make it to the hospital and we park, naturally the only spot left is the farthest away. "Come on." I hurry Andrew. We run to the register.
"How may I help you?" The older woman behind the computer barely looking up enough to agnolage us.
"We're looking for Susan Roberts." I play with the sleeves of my hooded coat. The woman clicks and types on the computer.
"Room 305."
"Thanks!" I say as we walk to an elivater That pulls us up to the third floor. 275, 276, 278,279,.... I count up as we speed through the hall. 295, 296, 297, 298, 299, 301, 301. we take a turn to the right. why can't we get there faster. Finally we reach 305. I push through the door to see Tom resting his head at susan's bedside. His head pops up, eyes looking grim, red circles line them along with dark bags below them.
"I got to talk to you." He whispers voice raw from obviously crying. He leads us out the door.
"What is it?" my voice wavers. My heart drops when I see a tear roll down his face the lines and creases more prominent making him look older.
