Chapter 3 Princess Echo

When the doors open I see two figures sitting in wooden thrones at the end of the room, so I guess they are the king and queen. Jack and I begin to walk towards them looking straight into their eyes hoping that they remember me. The queen is beautiful, she has long black hair that falls so gracefully down her shoulders with flowers placed throughout it. She did have some grey hairs to show her age but it just made her more beautiful. She had a flower crown with amethyst stones sticking out, and was wearing a purple petal gown to match her crown. Her wings were open behind her so I got to see her beautiful red wings, I noticed that everyone's wings looked like butterfly wings. I really like butterflies so I read a lot of books about them and the queen's wings look like a crimson rose, a rare type of butterfly. As we get closer I look over at the king, he has blonde hair that goes down to his shoulders and a beard. He is wearing a green cloak made of different kinds of leaves, and his crown is made of sticks, a little more masculine and his win. Then I look over at Jack's wings more closely and his look like an alpine black swallowtail. We get to the end where there is a little platform where the thrones are so we stop at the edge of the platform Jake speaks.

"Your majesties may I introduce your daughter princess Echo." Jake said as he took a bow and I did the same. The queen stood up and stepped toward us, I was still bowing so when she was infringe of me she reached her hand down and lifted my face up so she could get a good look at me. She looked right into my eyes examining me to see if I was truly her daughter that vanished. As I looked into her icy white eyes I saw a tear start to form as she began to smile, she opened her arms and gave me a huge hug squeezing me and not letting go. I wrap my arms around her and bury my face in her shoulder trying not to cry, I suddenly feel another arm wrap around me and it is the king with tears in his eyes as well.

"How we have missed you. We thought we would never see you again." The queen whispered.

"I'm back now so you don't have to worry." I said choking back tears. We hugged for another good 5 minutes until my father broke off and straightened himself out. I still can't get over that the king is my father and I'm meeting him for the first time in such a long time.

"We shall have a crowning banquet tonight in honour of my daughters return. Jack take Echo to her room and have Jenny and Nyx start fitting her. Finn begin making the guest list, Daisy start with the decorations. Alright let's go." Tyro exclaimed.

"We will see each other at the banquet tonight, we can catch up more there." Iris said then she hovered over to Tyro and flew through the doors.

"Come on Grace let's get you ready for tonight." Jack said grabbing my hand.

"Will there be enough time to get everything ready?" I asked worried.

"Of course. Planning doesn't take as long as it would on earth. We pretty much have everything planned out, we already know who we are going to invite, and it doesn't take long to decorate." Jack said with a smile.

"Right, planning for something this big would take at least two or more weeks in advance back home. You need to choose a date, book a venue, make the guest list, and get the decorations and when the day comes decorate. It seems so much easier here." I said exhausted just thinking about it. Jack just smiled as he guided me to my room and when we landed in front of my door there were two fairies waiting for us.

"This is Jenny and Nyx, they are your personal servants." Jack introduced.

"It is a pleasure to see you again Ms. Echo." Jenny and Nyx said at the same time.

"The pleasure is mine but came we use a different word than servants, maybe like helpers." I asked.

"As you wish." Jack with a low whisper.
