Chapter 12 Dark Castle

I can't believe what I just heard from my parents, I told them I loved Jack but they said that I couldn't marry him, I had to marry a prince and that prince was Cole. I rush out of the throne room and head back to the library.

"There you are, we were startinging to worry...what's wrong?" Nyx asked.

"I can't marry Jack." I said in between sobs.

"How come?" Jenny asked.

"Because my mom and dad had already arranged for me to marry Cole but I refused and told them that I love Jack but they said I had to marry a prince." I sobbed.

"Awe I'm so sorry, I know how much you loved him." Jenny said giving me a hug.

"Thanks. I know my parents are against it but I will make them change their minds, there is only one I want to marry and that is Jack." I said.

"Good for you. No one shouldn't marry someone they don't love." Nyx added. we went back to our reading to get our minds off of me not being able to marry Jack. After looking for a little bit longer just as I'm about to doze off I hear a loud bang that startled me awake.

"I found something!" Jenny shouted.

"What?" Ivy asked moving to Jenny.

"An ancient spell used ages ago, but it's written in some kind of old language." Jenny said.

"I studied about old languages I should be able to translate." Venus said happily.

"It won't work." I heard a voice say behind us, I turn around to see Cole standing in the doorway all bruised up.

"Why not?" Venus asked disappointed.

"Because the magic is too strong." Cole answered.

"Well we have to try at least." I said rabbing the book and looking at it.

"I would put that down if I were you." Cole said softly.

"Or what." I teased. All of a sudden Cole burst into flames blasting fire everywhere knocking us to the ground. I sit up and see the library on fire, I look around trying to find my friends, Nyx isn't that far from me so I crawl over to her.

"Nyx...Nyx get up." I whisper nudging her shoulder, she opens her eyes and sits up slowly.

"What's his problem?" She asked annoyed rubing the back of her head.

"I have no idea but we have to get everyone out." I insist.

"You were supposed to be mine Echo, I was to be king." Cole shouted angrily.

"That will never happen!" I shout back. I stand up scan the room to find everyone but Cole comes up behind me and knocks me to the ground and holds me down by my wrists. He leans down and kisses e on the lips, I squirm in disgust and manage to kick him off me but I lose sight of him.

"You will be mine Echo, it's only a matter of time." Cole said seductively.

"In your dreams." I said back. Nyx found me and came to my side but a fire blast knocked her away and into a wall and knocked her unconscious. I paused in shock not realizing that I had let my guard down, Cole came up behind me clamping his hand over my mouth and around my waist. I tried to scream and get away but it was no use, Cole's grip on me was too strong to get away.

"There's no point in struggling, you are mine now." Cole whispered into my ear. The hand that was around my waist began to catch fire burning m, it was super painful that I screamed under Cole's hand and he just laughed.

"Let her go!" A quiet voice said behind us. Cole turned us around to see Ivy standing there.

"Ha what are you gonna do?" Cole joked. He released his hand from my mouth but went to my neck choking me.
