Alina made it back home safely by 4 pm. She thanked Jess for the ride and told Izzy that she will see her
at school in three weeks. The reason it would be three weeks was because Izzy was going to Florida with her family. Plus school didn't start until September. Alina walked into the kitchen to find her mom and Felix making cookies. It was rare to see the two of them doing things together.
'Hey sweetheart, back so soon?,' said her mom. 'Yeah Izzy has a family issue to deal with. And you guys are making cookies?' said Alina.
'Yup chocolate chip with fresh mint,' said Felix. Felix poured the batter onto the cookie sheet and put them in the oven. 'I went out and picked the mint from the garden.'
Felix and Alina's mom put away the dirty dishes. Alina told them how the beach was. Once the cookies were done they were almost gone immediately. 'Save a few for dad, you know how he like his cookies, uneaten by you two,' said Alina's mother. Alina left some for her dad and went upstairs to her room.
Once she got in her room, she pulled out her sketchbook and started drawing that white lion with wings. After a half hour of sketching a voice behind her made Alina jump. 'Have you been stalking my dreams?' Alina spun around and saw Felix.
'What do you mean?' she asked.
'I have seen that exact lion in my dreams..' he said.
'That's strange, did you see anything else in your dreams?' Alina asked.
Felix took a step back, 'Torch... It seemed as if he wasn't a wolf but more...'
'... more beast, almost dragon like,' Alina finished. Felix looked up in shock. 'Shared dreams?'
Alina shrugged, 'i think that might be it.'
'Alina! Felix! I'm going to the store to get stuff for dinner!, shouted their mom from downstairs. 'Where did you see the white lion in your dream?' asked Alina.
'I saw him go through a door in what seemed to be a tower, here at the mansion,' said Felix.
'Should we go see if this door really exists here?' asked Alina. 'Ask the maid and grounds keeper i'll look around on the second and third floor.' Felix and Alina headed out and started looking for a door.
After an hour of looking and asking they came up with nothing. The clock rang 6:30 pm, right around the time that their mom got home. 'Sorry it took a while, there was an accident on main street. And it was a 3 car pile up.' Alina helped her mom with the bags in the kitchen. 'Dinner will be done in half an hour,' said their mom.
Alina decide to go out to the greenhouse until then. Ever since Alina was little, her great uncle and her would always plant a flower called a moonflower. Alina planted a few seeds in a pot and put them in the sitting corner on the table.

~flashback to when Alina was 7~
Now you have to water the flower...' started her great uncle.
'... everyday so it can grow,' said little Alina. Her uncle smiled as he watch Alina pour water on the newly sprouted flower bud. A little wolf pup came and sat on Alina's lap making her spill the rest of the water on herself. 'Torch! You silly puppy.' she said.

'Alina, time to eat!,' shouted her mom. Alina walked back up to the house and at the same time her dad came in the door.
They all sat down to eat and soon it was time to clean up. Felix finished his part of cleaning up and took Alina by the side. 'When you are all done here lets check up towards the attic, we didn't check there.
Alina finished her chores and ran upstairs to the attic to find Felix waiting there. 'Let's look around here.'
They start looking everywhere. Alina came across a huge painting of the mansion. The painting was at least 8 feet tall by 7 feet wide. Felix came by and looked at the painting as well. He looked down, 'Alina help me move the painting over.' 'Why?' she asked. Felix rolled his eyes. Alina and him pushed the painting to the side revealing a stairway leading up. They went up the stairs. 'This is just like my dream!' said Alina as she started running up the stairs. Alina opened the door at the top of the stairs and sure enough there was the door from her dreams. Felix came up running behind Alina. 'That's the door,' he whispered.
Alina went up to touch the door, but when she did, the door shocked her hand.
'Ow! Damn that hurt!,' she exclaimed. Alina looked at her hand and a pattern that looked like lightning streaks were all around her index find down to her wrist.
Felix went to inspect the door and hovered his hand over the door. 'Do you feel that?' he asked. 'No, i felt a shock.' Alina said flatly. 'It feels like the door is humming with a kind of energy,' said Felix. 'Look here, a keyhole. But we don't have a key.'
Alina looked up, 'I do have a key!' Felix looked at her in surprise, 'since when do you have a key?' Alina ran out of the attic and down to her room. She opened up the box of things her great uncle gave her. She looked at the 3 things in the box and decided just to take the box with her. When she got back upstairs, she found Torch was sitting next to the door.
'He came up here himself,' said Felix. Alina nodded and pulled out the key from the box. 'My great uncle gave me the key and said 'you'll know where it goes to' and i guess this is where.' Alina put the key near the keyhole and the whole door started to glow. She inserted the key in and turned it.
The door glowed so bright that Alina and Felix covered their eyes. The two felt a cold blast of air as the door slowly opened up. Alina and Felix opened their eyes. Felix walked to the door and vanished through it. 'Felix!' shouted Alina as she ran after him through the door with the box still under her arm.
