"AHHHH", yelled Zachary. "How did they escape the barrier?" A guard stepped forward, "they have seemed to go through the armory under the barrier." With lightning reflexes, Zachary was in front of the guard holding him by the neck with one hand. A blue aura glowed around him. "Find them!" The guard took a step back, scared.
"Y-yes sir!" said the guard, he quickly bowed and ran out the door.
Zachary threw a ball of energy at the bookcase. Right has the books hit the floor, he opened the a secret passageway with the press of a button on his desk. A door opened up in the wall next to him. Zachary walked down the steps into a dark, damp dungeon. Rats scurried across the edges of the hall. At the end of the hall was another door. He opened the sliding door and walked in. The room was filled with glowing potions that gave off their own lights and filled the room with an eerie glow. A large cage sat in the middle. A griffin was chained up by the leg in the cage. The griffin looked as if it hadn't seen the sun in years. Its wings looked rough and worn. But the thing that was most outstanding about the mythical creature is the the armor it wore. The griffin wore a silver helmet that covered the entire head. The armor lined its legs, back, tail, and the tops of the wings. Zachary unlocked the cage and chain that was holding the griffin and opened up the door. The griffin walked out slowly before turning to face the raven king. Zachary spoke in a different language. The griffin's eyes grew wide and he started to flap his wings. The sound of his wings beating in the room sounded like metal scraping across a stone floor. Looking up the griffin flew to an opening in the ceiling into the night sky.
"Now try to run and hide from the griffin, Winterfells," said Zachary to himself. He walked back up to the castle with his sinister laugh following him and could be heard throughout the entire castle.
The griffin flew over the land. Anyone who had heard the tales knew to run and hide from the giffin. The old stories go saying that if the giffin finds you, you are dead. The stories have said that if you even get scratched with its claws, you'll most likely die. The griffin can find anyone, even if they are already dead.
Within a few hours of flying around. The griffin finds who he is looking for. Alina Winterfell.
Alina was practicing sword play with Dimitri in the snow. She was smiling that they had gotten this far with the sword and were one step closer to defeating Zachary. The sun had gone down and Melody was human again. Torch was sleeping next to the fire with Melody petting his head.
The sound of swords clashing rang throughout the forest. Even though Dimitri was tired from teaching Alina how to use a sword, he was pleased on how she knew so much. After another five minutes of fighting. Alina was tired and so was everyone else. Melody took the night watch.
Soon after everyone fell asleep, Melody slumped against a tree watching out into the dark forest, watching for potential threats.
CRASH!! The treetops fell all around them. Something big crashed through and landed on top of the dying fire. A scream came from the creature's mouth, making the snow on the tree branches shake and fall. A giant white griffin landed. Dimitri, Alina, Melody and Torch woke up.
"RUN!", yelled Dimitri. The creature thrashed around, snapping trees like twigs. Dimitri's horse ran around the trees, distracting it. Torch was biting its legs, dodging out of the way of the talons.
"BUT I WANT TO FIGHT IT!", shouted Alina. Dimitri made his way around to Alina's side and grabbed her arm. "If you want to survive, you will do as I say! NOW RUN!"
Alina took off with her sword, not turning back to watch the fight and not knowing where she was headed. After a bit of running, Alina stopped to catch her breath. Silence, that's all she heard. The only thing she could hear was her own heart beating. Her silence was disturbed when she knocked down to the ground, she hit her head on a tree stump. It made her vision blurry, and when she looked up, the griffin was standing above her. The huge creature took its paw and knocked Alina unconscious. The griffin took Alina in its talons and flew off towards the castle.
