Saying "I Love you" for the first time

Alex's POV:

Maggie and I have been dating for almost 8 months now and yes we've had our fair share of stupid fights and silly arguments that were always made up for later that night in more than one way. I've come to the realization that I'm in love with her and it hit me like a ton of bricks quite literally. I've known that I've been in love with Maggie for the last month and a half but I haven't worked up the courage to finally tell her, but with this close call I think it's about time that I tall the love of my life that I love her. Kara and I were out on a routine exercise when something went wrong on our test field in the desert D.E.O property and one of our buildings gave way with me in at and I got thrown into a brick wall that crumbled upon the weight of my body hitting it and I got buried under the rubble, Kara was on the other side of the property 3 miles away and couldn't get to me on time before I got caught under the rubble. Kara came searching for me right away and got me out of the rubble and flew me back to the D.E.O to find J'onn waiting for me along with the Doctors.

Jo: Kara, what the hell happened? Are you ok Alex?

Ka: I don't know, I heard a big boom then went flying in Alex's direction to find her buried under a pile of brick and stone in warehouse Charlie on base

Jo: Alex???

Al: There was a big boom like the building gave away and I got blasted into a wall and the whole building came down after that and then I blacked out till Kara got there

Jo: Ok, let's go get you looked at and Kara give Maggie a call will you

Al: No, don't she'll freak out

Jo: It's policy Alex, she needs to know

Al: Fine

They take me into the med bay to do some tests and come to find out that I have several cracked ribs on both sides, dislocated left shoulder, broken right arm, sprained right ankle, torn ACL in my left leg and a grade 3 concussion which is bad. Also I'm severely cut up and bruised, covered in dirt and dust. They cast my legs leg, pop my shoulder back in and put it in a sling, cast my right arm, wrap my right ankle up and put ice on it and wrap my ribs up in a ace wrap. I'm sitting in the Med bay shirtless and I put some shorts on hence they had to cut everything off, so I have shorts and my bra on. They put me on some very heavy pain meds so I find myself falling asleep in an instant.

Kara's POV:

I drop Alex off in the Med bay and let the doctors work on her as I run down to Alex's office and grab my phone out of her desk after sitting in it so I can call Maggie. I really hate that I have to make this kind of call to her, but she needs to know what happened and I know that Alex is no where near ready to make that phone call to her with the amount of pain that I know she is in by how high her heart rate is. I scroll through my phone till I get to Maggie's number and I press the call button........

Ma: Hey, little Danvers, What's up?

Ka: UHHH..... Hey Maggie.......

Ma: What's going on Kara??????

Ka: Ummm.... well

Ma: KARA WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?

Ka: I need you to come down to the D.E.O

Ma: Why, is Alex ok?

Ka: That's the thing, there was an accident today

Ma: I'll be there in 10, say no more

Ka: Ok

I hang up the phone and make my way upstairs to meet Maggie when she gets's here. Almost 10 minuets later Maggie comes running over to me and I take her to the Med bay where she see's Alex and looks like she is about to cry then looks at me trembling and shaking hard....
