The Doctor and the Recruit

Alex's POV:
I'm woken up from my sleep by my pager going off non stop and I jolt up from the bunk in the doctors lounge that I fell asleep on an hour ago. I've been here since 2:30am last night and it's 1:00 am current day. I look at my pager and see that I'm being paged to the pit on a 911 so I put my shoes on then run down there to find all departments there, I walk over to Lena who is our chief and also a friend, she's dating my sister Kara.

Al: Hey Lee, what's the call??

Le: Building collapse on the NCPD training grounds, about 15 coming in injured but don't know how many casualties just yet

Al: Damn, not even out of the academy and you don't make it out alive that sucks

Le: yeah

Al: Do we have any first responders coming in injured?

Le: Not that I know of no

Al: Ok

Le: I want you and your residents on triage assesing whats emergent and what can wait till one of us is free then you and your ortho/Cardio team can work on patients

Al: Ok, what about you?

Le: I'm gonna be working with the trauma and neuro doctors so I'll be in and out of the OR. I'll call you if I need you to run things for me for a while or not

Al: Ok

Just as we finish talking the first 4 of many ambulances come wailing into the ambo bay and we all run into action, I send a resident off with every patient that goes in the door to get the full workup done then we compile a list from immediate medical attention to the least so we know what our base line is. As we finish up with the last few officers in training that have come in 2 more ambulances come into the bay so I grab one and Lena grabs the other, when the doors open I see a female officer dressed in her academy work out clothes who seems highly agitated but is hot as fuck. She's got long brown hair, deep brown eyes that catch your attention, and dimples that could kill. I look to the paramedics as they rattle off her state and vitals, I tell them were going to trauma room 2 then we put her onto the bed on my count and the paramedics leave. I look to the girl who has to be in her early to mid 20's just like me and find that she has calmed down some and looks distant. She looks to me and catches attention waiting for me to speak........

Al: Hi

Ma: Hi

Al: My name is Alex Danvers in going to be your doctor today

Ma: (nods) Maggie Sawyer

Al: Nice to meet you Maggie, can I take a look and your injuries?

Ma: Yeah, go ahead

Al: Thanks, may I ask why you were giving the paramedics such a hard time

Ma: I'm not fond of people touching me without my consent, plus they separated me from a close friend that I was trying to help and they won't tell me anything

Al: Ok, well if you give me a name I can see what I can find out for you, your whole building was brought her so they have to be somewhere around her

Ma: You would do that for me?

Al: Of course, your worried and if you get the info your looking for you won't continue to bite my residents heads off (laughs)

Ma: (Laughs) Yeah I guess, so her name is Lucy Lane, she's one of our instructors and a good friend, she's not a cop though she's Army

Al: I know (laughs) She's a friend of mine and my sisters also. I'll see what I can find out after I finish here with you

Ma: Ok, so what's the verdict with my arm?
