CHAPTER 6
On top of explaining giving birth to Colette I watched Georgia slowly become best friends with Gage.
At some point the girls had left and I was left alone with the kids. "Hi," I heard a low female voice and seen Roxy standing at the door way. I was kind of surprised I've been here for that long.
I recovered from my shock and smiled. I stood up and watched the kids still playing. "Hey, sorry I sort of zoned out there for a minute," I confessed and she smiled.
"No worries. I see the kids haven't moved," Roxy said as she pointed, or gestured, in their direction. "Yeah, no they have been great. No troubles at all," I said and she chuckled.
"Thank you again," she said and I smiled "Please I don't even think Gage knew you had left," I said as we watched the kids playing "I believe he has a fascination with my daughter," I joked and Roxy smiled.
"Some how I believe you," she joked back and we shared a non awkward laugh. This grabbed their attention and Gage got up and ran to his aunt.
"Hi," he said as he hugged her legs. Roxy picked him up and Georgia soon was in my arms as well.
"Well thank you again," she said and I smiled "Anytime I will gladly watch him whenever, unless I'm working then of course Damen would watch him," I said and offered to watch Gage for her whilst she worked.
She shook her head as we walked slowly to the steps. "I couldn't ask that of you both," Roxy said and I smirked "Well its your lucky day because I'm offering and Damen is being ordered by me to do it," I said and she laughed.
"Are you sure?" Roxy asked and I nodded "I wouldn't have offered if I wasn't," I said and she nodded "Thank you ever so much," Roxy said and I smiled "Don't mention it," I said and we parted ways.
"Mommy where daddy?" Georgia asked and I frowned "I don't know baby, lets go find him. Yeah?" I said and she nodded. We walked up to our corridor and I couldn't pick up his scent.
That's strange I thought. "Uncy Mi?" Georgia said and I shrugged "Lets to see if they are in his office," I said and we walked down one flight of stairs and knocked on Mikes office door. "Yeah?" mike said and I entered with Georgia.
"Have you seen Damen?" I asked and mike glanced up and shook his head. "Will you watch Georgia whilst I find him?" I asked and he nodded as I put her down and she ran to his chair and climbed in his lap.
"Be back soon," I said and walked out of his office and thought. Where could he be? Maybe I could mind-link him. Damen? I tried and I got no answer.
I tried twice more and still had no answer. I picked up my phone and dialed his number. After about the third ring he picked up.
"Hey," he said and I frowned "Where are you?" I asked and I heard some clinging and someone being quiet.
"Um I'm with your father. Doing stuff," he said and I frowned "Stuff?" I said and he sighed "Yes baby, I will be home in about 30 minutes. Don't worry it's nothing bad, its more of a," he paused and I was confused "A surprise," Damen finished and I shook my head.
"Well next time at least let me know you're gone so I don't freak when you DON'T answer through mind-link," I snapped and he chuckled.
"Yes baby I'm sorry." he said and I smirked "Better be, have fun and be back soon," I said and I could practically see him smirking.
