CHAPTER 7
Silence. Pure darkness and numbness. Yup I was still passed out but I didn't understand why. Maybe it's been only 5 minutes, or its been 5 hours! Either way it's been to long.
Usually when I passed out before I didn't remember anything but now it seems as if my mind is alert but my body physically was not.
I felt my chest rise and fall slowly obviously indicating my body was physically asleep.
This gave me the time to actually think about Luka. Even his name gave me an irritating chill that ran up my back and I wanted to hurl. Why all this time did he seek me out?
What was worse was that he told me that finding me was a mistake. Meaning he was not there to kill me, but someone else.
A little boy to be more specific. One who had lost his family but rouges not even a week before Luka visit.
Now that Luka had found me he wanted me and the little boy, Gage, to be killed. Knowing I should be more concerned for my family's lives than my own.
I was worried about the little boy. That boy, Gage, did nothing wrong and yet he was a direct target to a man so cruel and disgusting the devil would be proud.
Proud to know there is someone out there as ruthless as his own self, if not worse. Then there was Georgia, Luka knows about her and that directly puts her in harms way.
Seeing as he wants to get to me directly, she could also become his target. "I think she's waking up," said a voice from either my left or right. Hell, I've even lost my sense of direction for the time being.
I began to feel my fingers once again and yet they didn't hurt like I expected. Next was my eyes. They felt like they each weighed 1,000lbs and would not open.
With much effort though I managed to flutter them open slowly. When I did I regretted it, seeing as how the bright lights above me were on it made my ready pounding head beat harder against my skull.
"Get the lights," Someone ordered and from behind my closed lids I could tell the lights had been shut off. Trying this once again I opened my eyes slowly to see the room lit dimly by a lamp by the bed.
"Hey," said the voice I've been hearing and was able to put a face to. "Hey," I said groggily and realized how had my throat hurt to speak. "How are you feeling?" asked a concerned Damen.
"Could be better," I answered truthfully. He was still frowning but didn't speak. For that I was grateful for. I seen my arms were better but still slightly sore.
When I lifted my right arm to the back of my head I felt a wrap. "Where's Georgia?" I asked.
I was now realizing she wasn't here. "Shes with the family, who are all guarded heavily by your team," Damen said and I groaned.
"I want her," I said and Damen nodded. "I will be right back, but until I return you will have the 5 guards I picked out for you watching," he said as heart the room.
Once he left them 2 men walked into the room whilst the other 3 stayed outside. "Hello," I greeted the 2 that entered the room. "Hello, how are you feeling?" asked the guy who was tall.
He had hair that was milk chocolate and seemed to be so intense. His body form was muscled up and looked like a body builder. No doubt was set in my mind that he rarely ever had trouble with the ladies.
"Could be better," I said and he chuckled. "My names Eric," He said and motioned to his partner, I'm guessing. "- and this is my partner James. We are your personal body guards. The others are Georgia's," Eric explained and I nodded.
