Chapter 25

I wasn't exactly sure what made me scream but I did. Loudly.

Bolting up in the bed as fast as I possibly could my eyes quickly scanned the room.

My breathing heavy and labored. The bedroom door slammed open to find an alarmed Eric, James and Damen.

My forehead was covered in sweat and my head was pounding. "What is it?" Damen demanded as he was by my side.

At first I didn't realize I had been shaking fiercely until his calm body held me.

"I-I- He- They-" I tried to speak but the words just wouldn't form and come out.

How do I tell my mate what was wrong if I honestly didn't know myself. The only thing I remembered was falling asleep and then BOOM!

I was running through a huge field with a snarl and hiss behind me. Only to be chased by an unknown person or thing and like every typical scenario I tripped and fell.

Only to have the creature catch up and pin me down. Even then I could make out their face.

Hell I didn't even know if it had a face. Though I was only concerned about its features for a short amount of time.

For when i screamed as loud as I could, thrashed around and tried my hardest to get away I felt a burning pain on my wrists and hands.

"You will be mine," the unknown creature snarled. Its voice was nothing more than a whisper and held such an evil tone that still, while I was awake sent chills down my back.

My breathing still was labored as Damen held onto me but I could have sworn that while I was dreaming it was real.

All of it. My tears fell down my face as I tried to calm myself but when I glanced down to my hands I had a panic attack.

My breathing got faster, my heart was pounding harder. "Get the pack doctor!" Damen snapped as he held me.

My eyes would not leave my hands for on them both laid the most intricate designs.

It looked as though I had placed black henna, a type of removable tattoo that held value to some cultures, had been tattooed- no burned into my skin.

It almost looked as though I was wearing black lacey gloves.

My vision was starting to blur and I realized I hadn't been breathing. So when I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding I realized Damen was trying to grab my attention.

"Stay with me!" Damen was cooing as he tried to keep me awake. I knew my mouth was hanging wide open in pure shock.

What was even worse was that when the doctors and everyone else had come into the room I froze.

No not froze as in ice frozen, but froze as in pure and utter shock. Terrified to move and thrown into a sort of trance.

I looked to Damen who seemed to have stopped moving, breathing and froze in time.

My eyes moved around to the others within the room and they too had stopped and seemed frozen in time.

The room stopped and it was as if this world had stopped moving.

Leaving only me able to move. As I scanned the room again I realized not only was I able to move but a black object was standing by my balcony window.
