Chapter 10

"Okay thanks," I thanked the caterer before I hung up the phone. "Alright food is taken care of," I muttered to myself. I've been up since 5 am this morning. I know its early but I couldn't sleep.

So I thought I would come up to my office and get the overloading work done and out of the way. Since today was Monday I needed to get planning for Coopers ball.

I had a week to plan, set up and announce before we were able to even begin I had to call every single pack alpha around the U.S.

"Right so I need 2 weeks," I said out loud and picked up my office phone and dialed Liam's number.

"Morning already?" Liam asked in a groggy voice. I couldn't help the laugh that left my lips and he sighed.

"Guess so, What's up?" Liam asked already knowing who it was. Probably by the caller I.D anyways.

"Morning to you too, I need to push the ball back until not this weekend but the next," I told him.

I heard some muffled voices and a whine before Liam came back to the phone. "Im sorry Amy woke up. What were you saying?" Liam said and I sighed.

"Yet another reason I think you're annoying as fuck," I muttered and he chuckled.

"I heard that," he said and I smirked "You were meant to anyways, I need to push the ball from this weekend to the next. I just started planning," I told him once again.

I heard some shuffling and a door open. He was probably going to his office for whatever reason. I could make out the sound of paper and pen scribbling something down.

"Okay I'm now clear for a weekend 2 weeks from now. Why you so behind? You had a month to plan," Liam asked.

I sighed "I've been super busy. All with the new enforcer members, Georgia and I found out I was pregnant a few days after you left 2 weeks ago and-" I said and he cut me off.

"Wow you're pregnant again?" Liam asked. His voice obviously laced with jealousy, anger and shock. "Yup,"

I made sure to pop the 'P' at the end for more of an effect. "Well I believe a congratulations is in order then," he said.

"Thanks but didn't you already know?" I asked and he sighed. "Yeah just still surprises me that's all," Liam said and I smirked "You forget didn't you?" I asked.

He laughed nervously and replied "Yeah," he said and I laughed "Typical," I said and he sighed.

"So when are you and Amy having a pup?" I asked. I leaned back in my chair and propped my feet up on my desk and got comfortable.

Its been a while since I spoke with Liam cause we have been busy and seeing as how our packs were allies we had to be friendly. At times.

"Ugh we aren't," Liam said. I frowned by his answer and I knew something was wrong. "And why not?" I asked with more confusion and interest than anything.

"Amy is not, well her body is not capable of producing a baby," Liam said and I felt kind of bad for them.

"Oh I'm sorry," I sympathized with him and he sighed "Its fine," he said and I carried the conversation on.
