"What's with the gloomy face, hyung?"

I dumped myself on my bed as soon as I arrived at my dorm.

"Tomorrow I'll be having a test, both physical and teory," I said as my face was on top of my bed.

"Good luck, hyung."

I took a seat on my bed as my back was facing the wall. I practised my fire skills all night, while Jungkook was, again, preparing the christmas school party. We both finished our own things at 1 am.

"Are you going to sleep now?" Jungkook asked.

"Nah, I don't feel like sleeping," I replied.

"Oh, hyung," he said, "what are you going to do at the christmas party?"

"I think I won't come to the party."

"Why?"

I laid down while staring at the ceiling. "In my family, christmas brings bad luck."

"Oh, really? Why?"

I sighed. "Every year when we celebrate christmas, something bad happened. My family believed that they weren't coincidences."

"May I know what happened?" he asked. "I mean, if you don't want-"

I cut him off. "I can't remember the exact year, but a few years ago, my grandfather died mysteriously when my family secretly celebrated christmas. Exactly a year after that, my uncle also died mysteriously after my mom, my hyungs, and I celebrated christmas. Two years later, my mother disappeared after having a christmas feast."

"That's... horrible," he said, "I'm really sorry for asking."

I smiled bitterly. "Don't be. It's okay, and that's why I can't celebrate christmas since the night my mother disappeared. I don't want bad things to be happened again."

"So, what are you going to do when all of us go to the party? Are you going to stay in your room?"

"I will spend the christmas eve with Dahyun."

"Dahyun sunbae? Does she not believe in christmas too?"

"She has never celebrated christmas in her whole life, so she won't regret not coming to the party."

"But now... she's, well, ignoring you."

I shrugged. "Jimin said that she's not completely ignoring me. She has the habit of shutting people out whenever she's dealing with a problem."

"I hope she's okay, hyung. She seems to be really precious to you."

I smiled. "She is."

---

"The tests were killing me, literally."

Jungkook laughed. "Did you do a great job?"

"I don't think so," I said as I chuckled.

"Come on, let's go to the cafeteria for lunch," he said as he put his arm around my shoulder.

"By the way, hyung," he said, "Dahyun sunbae looks like in a good mood. She's in the cafeteria right now with the hyungs and Jiwoo sunbae."

I widened my eyes as I smiled brightly. "Jinjja?! She's in a good mood right now?"

"I think so."

"I'm glad to hear that."

"Taehyung ah."

Both of us stopped walking when a voice of a man was heard. We turned around and we saw figures of two men.

I let go of Jungkook's arm and stepped a little forward. "Hyung."

"Can you come with us for a while?"

I turned to Jungkook and said, "Jungkook ah, you can go first to the cafeteria."

"Yes, hyung," Jungkook replied as he ran off to the cafeteria.

I turned back to my first hyung and my stepbrother. "What's wrong? Why do your faces look serious?"

"Come with us."

The three of us went to a non-people place. It was near a lake, and honestly I had never seen this lake before. Maybe because Jaeyoung hyung was the alumni, he probably knew all of the detailed places in this school.

"What is it?"

"We want to show you something," Hyunjae hyung said.

"Why are you guys so serious?"

"Because it might make you upset," Jaeyoung hyung replied.

Suddenly, a portal appeared, I was guessing it was Jaeyoung hyung's. But my legs became limp and my hands were shaking as soon as I saw the person who got out from the portal.

"Annyeong, Taehyung ah."

I widened my eyes. "Eomma."
