Jungkook

"Jungkook ah," someone called me.

Taehyung, Jihyo, and I turned around, then we saw a figure of a tall guy came towards us.

"Jin hyung, what's wrong?" I asked.

"Do you remember the iron man toy that I borrowed from you? I... uh," Jin said while rubbing his back neck, "I apparently broke it. I'M SO SORRY, JUNGKOOK AH."

Jungkook widened his eyes and said, "My favorite iron man action figure?!"

Jin hyung broke my iron man action figure? The one that my mom gave it to me from overseas? The one that I loved so much that I literally took it everywhere when travelling?

I left Taehyung and Jihyo as I ran to Jin's school building. Well, I couldn't fully trust Taehyung to be alone with Jihyo, but I couldn't help it if this was about my iron man toy.

Lmao sorry guys, iron man comes first.

When I arrived at Seokjin's class, I immediately saw the toy that I had been worried about. It was... perfectly fine. It perfectly stood on Seokjin's locker.

"Why did Jin hyung say it's broken? Is it really broken?" I said to myself as I took the toy and checked if something was wrong.

"Something doesn't add up. This iron man toy is perfectly fine and nothing is wrong," I mumbled. When I was about to call Jin, he... was nowhere to be found. So he didn't come with me?

I put the toy back on Seokjin's locker, but then I remembered something. Something that made all of this made sense.

Seokjin was Jihyo's relative. Something must have happened.

Oh, no. I left Jihyo with Taehyung alone because of Seokjin.

I ran back to the place where I left both of them. My heart literally sunk when I saw them kissing each other on the lips, then stopped because of the noise of a falling thing.

Uh-oh. Kim Dahyun saw that, Taehyung. Kim Dahyun saw that.

I was about to approach Taehyung to ask what was going on, but Jimin started to punch Taehyung on the face, so I stopped. I saw Jihyo just stood there, watching both of my friends fighting, with a 'did i just do the wrong thing' look. I approached her.

"What the hell did you do?"

She looked at me, then answered, "Why are you here?"

"What do you mean why I'm here? Did you make me left you with Taehyung in purpose?"

"What if I did?"

I ruffled my hair. "Why did you do it? Do you seriously think controlling his mind to kiss you will make him like you?"

Her expression was hardened. "Why do you never support all the things that I do?!"

"Do you think I will support this dirty thing that you did?"

"It's because you and that bitch Dahyun are always on my way, that's why I have to do this!"

"Don't drag Dahyun into this, she did nothing wrong! Taehyung likes her, so it's her right to like him back," I said, "I swear to God, Jihyo, don't be childish!"

She let out her breathe furiously, then she looked to the left, at Taehyung. I sighed, she really needed to be watched. What had gotten into her? I dragged her to somewhere quiet.

"What happened, Jihyo?"

"I made him kissed me, that's all."

"Why did you do it, when you exactly know he's with Dahyun?"

"He's not!"

"Yet," I said.

She rolled her eyes, then I continued, "You're trying to seperate them, aren't you?"

"So what if I did?"

I sighed. "I've told you, Jihyo, just let him go. No matter how hard you try to make them seperated, they'll come back at each other eventually," I said, "just stop, Jihyo. All of these need to stop."

She started tearing up. "But I love him."

"No, you don't," I said, "because if you actually love him, you won't do these things. Love is a strong word, you don't use it as you pleased."

"Isn't love selfish?"

"That's what people think. It's not, it's not selfish. Love happens if his or her happiness matters the most to you and you'll do anything to make him or her happy. You'll be happy as long as your crush is happy. That's love."

"Taehyung isn't happy with me, is he?"

"After all the things that you've done? Uhm, I don't think so."

"If only we weren't disturbed by that noise, Taehyung would be mine now."

I sighed, again. "Why are you so stubborn of wanting to make him yours? He doesn't even like you."

"He will!"

"Why can't you just forget him and let him be happy with Dahyun?"

"What is your problem? I-"

"I like you."

She stopped talking and looked at me speechlessly. When the situation became more awkward, she said, "I've realized that you've always been nice and sweet to me. But I never knew that you would actually like me."

"Because you never actually see me more than a friend. Your eyes can only see those handsome boys and you forget that there's still one boy that silently protects and loves you," I said, "and that's me."

She rubbed her back neck while looking at the ground. "Since when?"

"Since the day we were chosen to be the student councils representatives."

"So it's been more than a year?"

I nodded. Every guy who confessed his feelings like this would actually feel nervous, but I didn't. I was tired of having these feelings without her looked at me as a guy, so I decided to just confess it. She still liked Taehyung anyways.

I was about to leave when my wrist was grabbed. "Wh-Where are you going?" she asked.

"Back to my dorm."

"L-Look, Jungkook ah. I'm sorry. I'm sorry for never noticing you having feelings for me, and I'm sorry that I've never looked at you more than a friend. I'm sorry for hurting you."

I smiled bitterly. I felt pain going through my heart as she kept saying sorry. It wasn't her fault. It clearly wasn't her fault to not like me back.

"No need to be sorry, Jihyo. Don't be sorry for not liking someone back. It's your choice and I can't force you to like me," I said.

"Jungkook ah."

I smiled, then softly let go of her hand from my wrist. "Good night."
