The Queen of Ice

Chapter 4

Taehyung

"This roast beef is tasty!" Yoongi said.

"Every food in the cafeteria is basically delicious," Namjoon replied.

"Yah, where's Jimin?" Hoseok asked.

"He must be with Dahyun and Jiwoo," Seokjin said.

I kind of startled when Dahyun's name was mentioned. I leaned on to Jungkook and whispered, "Jimin is friends with Kim Dahyun?"

"They're close friends, with Jiwoo in their friendship too. But don't worry, Jimin hyung doesn't like Dahyun. He likes someone else," Jungkook replied.

"Where are they now?" I asked.

"I'm not sure, but they must be in this cafeteria. They always share the cafeteria table together."

After we finished our meals, we still sat on the cafeteria table while talking about other things. But I suddenly had an urge to go to the toilet.

"Guys, where's the toilet?" I asked while holding my stomach.

"You want to pee? The toilet is next to this cafeteria. The back door is easier for you to go there," Seokjin replied.

"Thanks, hyung. I'll be right back."

I rushed to the back door and I found myself in an empty garden. Wow, the atmosphere changed so fast, from a crowded cafeteria to a no-one-in-this-place garden. I was looking for the toilet when I found the man's bathroom sign.

After I finished my business(?) in the toilet, I found the same girl whom I met earlier, the white-blue hair girl named Kim Dahyun.

That girl suddenly sneezed, and luckily I brought the toilet paper with me. I slowly approached her, then I patted her shoulder.

"You want some tissue?" I asked.

She turned around. Oh, God... no word could explain how beautiful she was.

She looked at me while raising her eyebrow. She nodded shortly and took the tissue from my hand. Well, she was cold indeed.

"Thanks," she said.

I smiled. "You're welcome."

"I've never seen you before. You're new?"

"Yes. I'm Kim Taehyung, a fire wizard," I said as I reached out my hand to shake hands.

She looked at my hand for a while before she finally shaked my hand... shortly.

"Kim Dahyun, an ice wizard."

"Oh, an ice wizard? You must know Yoongi sunbae!"

She raised her eyebrow. "Yeah, obviously," she said, then she left me and went back to the cafeteria.

An ice princess, huh?

Jimin

"Yah, what took you so long?" I asked to Dahyun who just got back from the toilet.

"What do you mean by long? I've only gone for like 15 minutes," she replied.

"Dahyun ah, you usually only take 5 minutes to the toilet. Is there something wrong?" Jiwoo asked.

"No, nothing's wrong," she said, but then she realized that Jiwoo and I looked at her suspiciously. "Guys, c'mon. What's the big deal? I only bumped onto a guy and he offered me a tissue since I was sneezing a lot."

"But you didn't throw up in the toilet, right?"

"Yah, I'm just having a flu, not a diarrhea."

Jiwoo was known as the 'always worried' kid among the three of us, especially when it came to illness. Since she was a healing wizard, she wanted to do good to everyone. Some of them didn't like Jiwoo because they thought that she always overreacted to every kind of situation, but I thought it was cute. I mean, c'mon, who doesn't want a girlfriend who always looks after you?

"Don't mind her, Dahyun. You know she's always like this," I said. "By the way, do you guys already know that there's a new student in the academy?"

"Is his name Kim Taehyung by any chance?" Dahyun asked and I was quite surprised because Dahyun wasn't the type of person who cared about gossips and newest informations.

"How do you know?"

"He was the guy that I bumped earlier."

Jiwoo and I was like 'oh...'

"You know that he's a fire wizard, right?" I asked.

"Yeah, why?"

"No reason. It's just that I thought you would hate him because he's a fire wizard."

"I don't care about this fire wizards vs. ice wizards thing. I mean, it was twenty years ago, why should we still fight only because there was war in the past? At least they don't mess with us nor we mess with them. World peace, guys."

"And this is why you're my friend, Dahyun ah," Jiwoo said while smiling.

"I'm friends with that Taehyung guy, you know," I said.

"Oh, really? I feel like he's the annoying type of guy."

"I'm not sure about that since we just met. Literally just met."

"How did you become friends with that Taehyung guy?" Jiwoo asked.

"A friend of mine, Jeon Jungkook, the head student of the academy, is Taehyung's roomate. He was introduced by Jungkook earlier and well... we became friends," I explained.

"It's so unfair that you guys have met that new kid. I'm really curious how he looks like," Jiwoo said.

"He actually seems nice," I replied.

"Then why did you say that he's annoying?" Jiwoo asked to Dahyun.

"He talks a lot," Dahyun replied shortly.

"Do I not talk a lot too?"

"Yah, that's a different case. You guys are my friends."

And this was why I had never agreed when everyone was calling her a cold-hearted witch. She was a warm-hearted ice princess.
