I sat down at the lunch table with Liam trailing behind, then the other boys followed.

"Saw you flirting with the new girl today." Louis nudged my shoulder.

"It's not flirting when I was trying to be nice."

"Is she hot?" When Harry gave me that random question I slapped him on the arm.

"Why do you care, you have a girlfriend." I stated.

"I can still look at other girls, and besides, Lizzy doesn't come here anymore." I rolled my eyes.

"What's her name?" Zayn asked across the table.

"Luce Vines." I confirmed.

"Hey, she's in my math and history class, she is very smart." Liam told us.

"So she's hot and smart, good combination." Zayn grinned.

"You know what, I'm gonna go the music room." I stood up with my lunch, making my way to the hallway.

"See ya Ni!" Liam shouted from behind me.

I usually practice my guitar, I have it next hour anyway, so I stay until class starts. I was in the music hall, no one was around, but I could hear a faint sound of the piano keys.

I made my way towards the music room, trying not to make a single noise. I turned to peek into the room. I see a girl playing the piano, I didn't have to see her face to know who it is. Luce Vines.

I coukdn't see her face because her back was toward me. I still could see her fingers gracefully move across the keys. I slowly walked into the room unnoticed and leaned against the wall. I closed my eyes to the music. It sounded sad, depressing; It was beautiful. I love music enough to know how slow and beautiful it was, giving you a melancholy vibe.

Every note was sending a message. I know the song, and I never heard it like this before.

I accidentally dropped my phone from my hand, making a clattering sound on the carpet. She spun around and stopped playing, she starred at me wide eyed.

"What are you doing here?" she asked me.

"I could ask you the same thing." I picked up the phone and waked over to the piano.

"Are you stalking me?" she asked once more.

"No." I said to quickly.

"How am I suppose to believe you?"

"You don't have to." she looked at her feet as I continued to stare at her, amused.

"I like to get away sometimes." she mumbled, "to get away from all your troubles and such, do you get what I mean?"

I nodded at her, "I come to play my guitar at lunch sometimes, How long have you been in here?"

"Ever since lunch started."

"Have you eaten anything?" she shook her head with a flush of embarrassment. "Are you even hungry?" she hesitantly nodded. I open my bag that contains fruit snacks, water, and a granola bar.

I picked out the fruit snacks and water before placing them in her hand, "You're gonna need it." I winked at her, noticing that she was blushing, the pink tint in her cheeks gave it away. She smiled only for a split second, but I like her smile.

"Thanks Niall." she took the snacks and began walking away.

"What class do you have next?"

"Music."

"Why don't you stay here then, I'm not kicking you out." she smiled, only a little, but I can tell the joy behind her eyes. "I'll show you my guitar skills." she grinned before placing her backpack into its previous spot.
