I ran inside the building of the school in search of Liam.
"Liam!" I yelled when I saw him at the table where I recently saw him. He turned to me giving me a confused look.
"I need the keys to your car." I said, I was waiting impatiently, because I left Luce outside by the car.
"What for? I thought you were walking home?"
"I need to take Luce home, I'll give you the car tomorrow. Just take a ride with Louis or Harry."
He pulled out the keys from his pocket and handed them over to me.
"Thanks mate." I ran back outside to see Luce, her mask was removed from her face. Revealing her beautiful features, even if she was crying.
"Hey, I got the keys."
I jiggled the metal in my hand, hoping to get a smile out of her. I failed miserably, we climbed into the car, and drove off. The ride seemed silent, not one voice spoke or one sound broke the awkward silence between us. That was until little drops of water tapped on the windows.
"Are you sure you're okay?" she quickly nodded in reply.
"Do you want to tell me what happened?" I already knew what happened, Dylan must've thought he could take her as his next victim. I shook the thought out of my head, I was angry at him, I hope his nose is broken and I hope he stays like that for the rest of his life. She shook her head in response. "Okay."
I didn't speak for the rest of the ride. I had to talk to her about everything going on between us. I sure hope she doesn't push me away again.
I sighed as I pulled up to the church, before I could put it in park she jumped out and ran to the church doors and slammed them shut behind her.
I grabbed the coat from the seat next to me. Should I get out of here? I really didn't want to, but I should in case she wants space.
No, I have to talk to her. I jumped out of the car, after turning it off, I didn't bother grabbing my coat since the door wasn't so far away.
I reached to doors, taking a deep breath, I opened the door.
The church was bigger on the inside, rows and rows of seats and stain glass of the Father in Heaven with a halo on his head.
It was dark and the place was covered in cobwebs and the smell was rotten. Ahead of me at the alter there were candles, scattered around in a half circle sending a glow, a beautiful orange glow.
Among the candles was the figure of a girl, she was laying down next to the candles, I believe she was crying again. I walked closer to her shivering body, seeing that the hem of her dress and black raven hair was soaked.
I hurried toward her quivering figure, and embraced her in a hug.
"I'm sorry." I whispered in her ear. She looked up at me, salty tears ran down her pale cheeks.
"I want to tell you something." she whispered, she looked down at her gloves before pulling each on off slowly.
She gulped and took a deep breath before speaking. "I had a family, had a family." she spoke putting more emphasis on had.
"What do you mean had?" I asked starring into her red rimmed eyes.
"Had as in no more," she paused, "I was seven years old, that was the time my family decided to throw me out, put me in an orphanage. Five years I lived in that place, that place was hell, the other children made fun of me, because of my hair or how funny and stupid I looked.'
