"Nightmares" Stahl x Fem!Robin

"Stahl!" you scream as you sit up in bed. Sweat dripping down your face as you frantically grab onto your husband's arm.

"____, calm down! You're safe. Everything is okay," he tells you as you tremble in his arms. For the past several nights you keep having this recurring nightmare where you are on the battlefield and Stahl is killed right in front of your eyes.

"Is it the same nightmare again?" he asked.

"Yeah," you reply still trying to recover.

"_____, I want you to know I'm never going to leave you. This war is going to come to an end soon... and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. That is why I promise I am going to stay safe and alive until this war is over... and I want you to promise me you will do the same. Please. Promise me," Stahl begs you to promise him this because Grima was rising and he knew that you were planning on slaying the fell dragon instead of Chrom doing so.

"Stahl..." you whisper not being able to meet his eyes, "I'm so sorry." You realize that this recurring dream of yours would become true for Stahl; however, instead of Stahl dying before you, you would die in front of him.

"Don't apologize. I know you have to go through with this, _____. You've always been so brave," he tells you as he forces back tears.

"No," you say changing your decision, "that is not why I was apologizing. I wanted you to forgive me for making you worry so much. I am not going to kill Grima."

"_____!" He says shocked.

"I am going to let Chrom kill the dragon. So then we can spend the rest of our lives together. I want to grow old with you and raise Morgan with you. If I slayed Grima, Morgan would not even exist. I've made my decision. Stahl, I promise you I will stay safe. I love you."

"I love you too, _____" Stahl says warmly. The both of you returned to sleep and from that day on, you didn't have nightmares anymore.
