A/N so far I've decided I want to write this for 3 characters... each will be different and it will be more of a story than a small kinda summary (which is why I'm doing separate chapters)
"Nice," Gaius said with a huge smirk, "I love cities. Lots of businesses with lots of candy!" You roll your eyes, but it's not like you were surprised, he usually isn't too eager to do extra work unless there were sweets involved.
"Gaius," you say sternly, "Remember why we're here."
"Right. Right. The whole uh... Thing. Right?"
"We're here to see if there are any new leads about where the Risen keep appearing. In case they have a specific pattern we could use to aid us in battle. Look the sooner we get done with the task at hand, the sooner we can do some leisurely shopping. But remember you must stay-"
"Bubbles! Look!" Gaius yelled over your lecture. Ah well, he probably wasn't listening anyways, especially because we passed two bakeries.
"Aww, look how cute." You turn and see Gaius petting a small puppy.

"Look at him! He's so sweet!" Gaius giddily exclaimed.
"GAIUS!" You basically scream and he finally stops talking.
"Yeah what is it?" Gaius looked at you not understanding why you looked annoyed.
"You can't just kidnap a puppy. He probably belongs to someone. Who would throw out a cute puppy? No one. We can ask the townsfolk if the puppy belongs to anyone as we try to pick up leads."
"So basically I'm hearing we're getting a puppy." He says with a huge grin. "I mean if we can't find an owner we can't just kick him out?"
"Do you know how to care for a dog? You barely can care for yourself." You say starting to worry for the poor doggies's future.
"Well that's why I'm going to name this puppy (y/n)." You give him a blank look. "Because, you my dear Bubbles are so good to me I will do the same to you but in puppy form."
"Gaius that's going to be confusing."
"(Y/n)! See he looked at me!"
"Let's keep going we can ask about both the lost dog and Risen." Gaius continued to play with the puppy as you begin to walk away.
———————time skip———————
"Git OUT! I DONT WANT ANYTHING YOUR SELLING"
"Ma'am please we aren't salespeople! Please stop hitting me with a broom" You say finally deciding to retreat back to where Gaius was standing.
"Oof that looked like it hurt (y/n)." Gaius said sincerely.
"I'm okay. Thanks for worrying about me." You say surprised by how sweetly Gaius said that.
"Huh? What? Oh... yeah I was talking to you Bubbles..." He said glancing over at you. You glance at the puppy who was whimpering.
"Is he okay?" You inquire.
"I don't know he tripped and now he's crying."
"Maybe he wants to go home?"
"Aww. I think you're right let's go find his home." You sigh thinking about how we were suppose to be asking about both the puppy and Risen. At least he now is on the same page as you.
"HELLLLLLLOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" Gaius screamed, "WE FOUND A LOST DOG!!!!!! COME GET HIM."
"Gaius I don't think that'll work." You try reasoning him as he continued to scream.
"He-hello..." Both you and Gaius turn and look at a small child who looked like she had been crying.
"Oh hey there sweetie. Is this your doggie?" You ask the little girl.
"Mmmhmm. She's my dog! He wandered off when I went to go see my friend." The puppy hopped out of Gaius's arms and went to the little girl.
"Awwww (y/n). I'm so glad I found you!"
"Haha! I told you (y/n) was a perfect name for him!" Gaius exclaimed as you stood there bewildered.
"Let's go, Gaius" You turn to him and grab his arm.
