It's been a year since the war has subsided. You had watched the seasons change and the world continue to move on. Chrom had a child, Lon'qu was with Basilio, Cordelia was with the Royal Guard, and so on and so forth. It's been so long since you've seen all your friends. The only Shepherd you see often is Vaike because of his close friendship with your husband.

Yes, like everyone else you moved on. It was hard, you wanted your memories back and you tried so hard to fit into this strange world, but when he came around...

Stahl.

The 'average joe' of the group. You always felt bad for him considering how everyone kind of treated him like nothing special. During the war, you often found yourself watching the brunette train and fight. Originally it was because it was technically your job. You are the tactician after all. Over time, you found yourself watch him more closely. You watched him eat. You listened to him converse. You watched him look for the rare wing his brother asked him to bring back to the apothecary. Eventually you worked up the courage to speak to him. He was sweet and so magnetic. You started fighting together and the next thing you knew, he asked you to marry him.

You wed a few weeks after the war. He was the perfect husband. He cared so much.

Now here you were watching the fall leaves outside the window drift from the trees. It's gotten colder. You shivered then felt arms wrap around you.

"Stahl?" You turned your head to see Stahl smiling at you.

"I finished chopping wood for the fireplace. You feel cold let me get you some cocoa to warm you up." You followed Stahl into your rustic, but homey kitchen and sat on the couch near the fire place. The fire was burning however you still felt a draft from the windows. You glanced over seeing Stahl's long sleeve shirt and put it on to warm you up. It smelled like him. You smile as you tried to get comfortable in the large shirt when you heard a quiet gasp from the kitchen.

"I'm sorry. You just look so cute in my shirt," he had a huge grin on his face and his face was bright red, "I shouldn't laugh you must be cold."

"I'd be warmer if my sweetie pie Stahl was hugging me!" You said boldly somehow getting Stahl to get even more red in the face. He came over and cuddled up close to you and you say there with the fire burning for awhile before either of you spoke.

"I'm so glad I married you." He said and you cold feel his smile against your skin. You were sitting on his lap and his arms were around your waist and his forehead was pressed against yours.

"Hmm? Where's this coming from my love?" You ask as he snuggles his face in the crook of your neck.

"I just want to remind you all the time so you'll never forget it. You're so snuggly and pretty I love you. I'll never get tired of saying it." He kissed your forehead and you cuddled up closer to him. Days like this were the best, the war had affected you emotionally and peaceful days like this with your husband made your troubles melt away. As he pet your hair, you dozed off while clinging to his chest.
