Chapter 9: Monster

(Jordan's POV) 2 months Later

Today is the day, I will finally become sergeant and that means I have to give a speech and I'm not good with speeches. "There ready for you Jordan, hope your ready." Thanks Ethan, I'll be out in 5."

As I walked out of my quarters I saw people lined up cheering and clapping as I walked down the hall to the balcony at the hanger bay to give my speech." Good luck Jordan, you can do this." Thank you sir," as I saluted captain Reyes. I stepped onto the balcony and everyone cheered and clapped at me and they stopped and I looked to my right Sergeant Omar was holding his hand in the air to tell them to be quiet so I could give my speech.

I looked around at the people and took a deep breath and spoke," Over the last two months we have fought the Settlement Defence Front run by Salon Kotch and we never backed down or bowed down to his demons and we will not start that now. When it came to exspectations and winning the fight back on earth we were losing but we still fought back and while they were advancing we decided to take the fight to the stars! We will not fall to his demons traps we will rise over them and we will free our home from his robotic phycopaths! Our family's, siblings, children, baby's and fathers they won't know what we are doing but they will know what we have done, thank you."

As I finished my speech there were cheers, claps and people whistling as Captain Reyes gave the ranking of sergeant Frye and I now work with Ethan who was now a commander of our robotic army," Thank you sir," I said saluting him.

(Bethany's POV)

"Finally," I had made it out of that death trap know as redwoods. I had been dropped back out on a weird place, it was sandy and rocky I looked around to see ships flying over me.

I started walking beside a river until I reached a waterfall and there was a weird thing at the top of it with a device in its hand, I slowly approached it and it spotted me and turned around and ignited the device to reveal a long light with two points at the end of it.

(Ian's POV)

I still don't know what had happened to Thun?

Maybe you hurt him.

I was the one who hurt your friend, but if that green suited freak didn't get in my way your friend would be dead and trust me I will get back out and finished what I started.

(Jordan's POV)

"Jordan," it was Ethan calling me,"yeah?"We have a mission together." What is it?" You brother is trapped, he got captured by Rion Jones's destroyer."

(Time skip 30 minutes, cause I'm to lazy🤡)

"AAAHHHHHHH......Retribution..(gasp) I've takin..uggghh.. I'm hit bad... my jack-ahhh it's going down.(gasp)" Eject Brooks, EJECT!"

As I was flying in my jacket taken out aces I seen Brooks eject from his jackel and I opened the cockpit to mine and grabbed him,"Don't worry Brooks, I've got you mate," as I lifted him into the empty seat behind me.

"Captain Reyes, requesting clearance to land on Retribution." What's the cause?" I've got Brooks here and he is hit bad, can you prep the med bay for his arrival?" You have clearance to land on Retribution we will get the med bay prepped."

"Thanks Jordan (cough weez cough)" Anytime Brooks, now hurry up healing or I'll have Sergeant Omar visit you." Oh please no(cough)" I'll see you after the mission Brooks."

(Ethan's POV)

As I was prepping the robots for a battle I seen Jordan, Omar and Captain Reyes walk in with battle gear on and weapons and Reyes said," Ethan, are your robots good to fight?" Member I told you that they were a little dumb?" Yeah." Well, scrap that they are dumber than I thought but they can still fight." Good, get them on a transport we are going for a ground assault." Yes sir."

As I lead my robots to the transport they started to wonder all over the place and after about an hour of round up I finally got them on the plane and got them rigged up.

(Bethany's POV)

I was dragged to a camp were I was locked up in a cell across from a boy with a hoodie and he was crying.

"Are you ok?" I asked but there was no answer.
"He's gone," the man finally spoke,"Who's gone?" My partner Toast, he's got a broken legs and arms and a few ribs." I'm sorry," It's not your fault those alien things started beating him half to death."

(Jordan's POV)

"Salt you have command of Retribution while I'm gone," no problem Nick good luck and god speak." Thanks Nora."

(Time skip to on the ground)

"Jordan and Ethan you take the high ground, Omar and me will go in unnoticed and if we get caught don't try to get us just focus on the main mission. Now get to your positions and keep your cons on."

As me and Ethan used our boost rigs to make it up to the ledge,"Jordan come in." I'm here captain." There is a convoy coming your way whatever you do don't engage." We copy cap."

As we advanced on the jail block we could hear faint sobs.

"Ethan, you and Jordan go through the roof."

As me and Ethan get to the roof we see a vent and quickly make it through to a room and I see jail cells filled with people and the one at the end had a man in it with bruises and whip makes all over him," Omar, Ethan and Reyes free the other prisoners."

As I approach the cell I unlocked it and walked over to the man and he was sobbing," Are you ok?" As I put my hand on his shoulder he turned around and looked at me with scared eyes,"Jordan?"

(Ian's POV)

As I walked out of my room I looked around at everyone and I noticed they were all starring at me.

It's because your a freak.

"SHUT UP!!" I realised that I just said that out loud." Are you ok Ian?" It was Crainer and I wasn't in the mood for talking so I decided to just run....
