And our friends are concernedI'm sorry I hate you
I don't even like to hate
With the seething fury
And being caught in a stalemate
My friends often worryI'm sorry I hate you
Our mouths are the real guns
Spitting out verbal ammo
But sometimes it's the verbal ones
That drag you the furthest belowI'm sorry I hate you
But you also hate me
What happened so long ago
That made you want to unsee
All that used to glowYou should be sorry
That I'm hated the way I am
I can barely leave my house
Without enduring an emotional slam
My life is a game of cat and mouseI have been beaten down
Time and time again
By you and by other people
And I'm waiting for the day when
Someone says thank you
I guess that's a big mouthful...
