Day Four | Chapter 01 : To Despair or to Hope |To Survive Deadly Life
Lara, the Ultimate Author, was dead.
Those words didn't sound quite right.
Then again, no one was supposed to die.
Not here, not like this.
"Amber? Hey, Amber, you alright?"
Amber was jolted from her thoughts by Seto, who was currently keeping Amber from collapsing by keeping a firm grip on her arms.
"I..." For some reason, Amber's eyes tried to look around Seto, trying to catch another glimpse of the morbid sight behind him..
"Jasmine and Amber ran off to get the others... Are you okay?"
Amber looked back to Seto's face, his features creased in worry.
"Yeah.. Yeah.." Amber straightened and Seto let go of her arms, still looking worried.
The two's attention shifted as the sound of dozens of feet hitting the ground echoed down the hall.
The source was the remaining thirteen attendees who were all running in their direction.
"We heard the announcement! Is.. Is it true..?" Sky's voice lowered in volume as he finished his sentence.
Seto turned and stared into the art room, directly at Lara's lifeless body.
Sky crept over and peered into the room. He took a sharp inhale and stepped back.
"No... She.. No.."
Everyone walked over to look inside and everyone had varying reactions.
Bodil grabbed his head and began crying out in Bulgarian.
Mango stumbled back and began mumbling to herself.
Ty looked disturbed but didn't speak, instead leaning on the wall and pressing a hand to his forehead.
Mitch and Jerome stared at the body with indiscernible expressions.
"Is it.. Just me... Or is the blood pink?" Jason had a hand over his mouth at the sight."No.. I actually.. I'm just as curious.." Seto murmured and looked around, as if he was looking for someone.
"W-Who cares about that?! Lara is d-dead!" Sub shrieked, looking horrified.
"Yes she is! And good riddance!" Everyone turned to see MonoMachine had appeared and was gleefully spinning his hat.
"I personally thought she was like a sort of discount Bodil!"
