Trence's POVThe days of hell began.
But it started way earlier for Taileen.
Ever since last Monday, the day I saw and listened to her and her dad conversing, she kind of started daydreaming a lot. But I didn't question, since she looked like she didn't want to talk about anything.
Anyway, the teachers dropped a bomb--hell week. For those of you who do not know, hell week is Studentnese for "exams".
After exams, which is Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, is Saturday and Sunday (duh), but on Monday up to Wednesday is the almighty buzzerbeater school festival.
How the hell can we concentrate on and perfect both of those occasions?!
Anyway, I tried so hard to answer correctly since the past days I've been studying like crazy with Jack.
Taileen studies with Rin and possibly her dad, which seemed to plan on bribing Taileen to go to America.
A part of me want to just send her father back to America, but whatever.
I want to talk to Taileen, but what can I do? She's been avoiding me.
But what am I feeling?
I feel so....hurt.
But I like her, right? Just that.
Just that..I think.
I can't take it, I need to talk to her!
I finished answering the test and passed it to Sensei.
I looked around the classroom for the familiar size of Taileen which I've grown accustomed to, but to no avail.
"Did Taileen finish first?"
Sensei nodded. "She went to the cafeteria."
I smiled, flashing my dimples and went to the canteen.

Taileen sat alone.
"Hey Tsuny!!" Taileen looked up from her sandwich. "NCS.."
I went to her and hugged her. "Even though we're mostly together, I miss you."
"Get off me." She muttered, and I felt the warmth of her cheeks. "Haha! I'm being touchy-feely nowadays, I guess." I chuckled. "Say that again. I prefer you hating me than liking me."
"Really? But I can't hate you."
"Ugh, stop being cheesy! I haaaaate it!!" she screamed, and took a big bite from her sandwich and gulped it down. "Nah. You like it deep down. I mean it, anyway." I winked.
She pretended to puke. "Disgusting. Stop it, okay? I don't like you. Maybe I do, but as a good friend, okay? Besides, you're UGLY." She scoffed.
"Stop denying, Taileen. Even the guys tell me I'm handsome, and they have girlfriends."
"Then they're gay in disguise, whatever."
"See? You said it yourself; taken men are gay for me. As well as girls."
"You know what? Fine. You're hot, gorgeous, beautiful, attractive, handsome---whatever the hell there is! But guess what? I still don't like you! So shut up!"
I did.
"Anyway, Trence,"
"Hm?"
"Ms. Martin told Rin that you two will perform for the first day of the festival. Hilarious, I know."
